To his credit, he has played well. For the vet min it doesn't get that much better (Melo is an exception the way he has been for us).
he could average 20 boards a game and i'll still be thrilled he's not our problem. he just isn't part of winning basketball.
yeah, he keeps rebounding while not helping his team win at all. i'm sure daryl morey is on twitter hyping the fact that he leads in the league in total rebound percentage in the hopes that he can find a rube gm out there.
Currently Drummond barely plays...he plays like 10 mpg...so it seems like he didn't impress Doc but what is he supposed to say publicly?
turns out he's a decent vet min backup center. wish we tried that instead of cramming him into a starting lineup for absolutely zero good reason.
I also think he wasn't in peak shape when we picked him up. He said he was in the best shape of his life. Watching him out there, it was clear that wasn't true. But I would have taken him over either center we have this year as a backup. With how Rob operates, we'll bring him back next year and it'll be a year too late and he'll be cooked.
yeah, i was all for drummond until i saw we were handing him a starting position. he's certainly a capable backup center. i'm not sure any team can start him and feel good, though.
Anyone else think he looked even heavier than last year when we played them that last game? Guy is in his prime years but never kept his conditioning up to be able to keep getting better not worse athletically after coming out of college.
He's starting for the Nets. 5 games averaging 11/11/3/1/1 since getting there We didn't get this Drummond.
Vogel isn't going to use any big properly outside of AD. They may occasionally put up decent numbers here, but they are most definitely an afterthought in this offense. If I was a traditional bigman, I wouldn't want to play for the Lakers, as long as Vogel's coaching the team.
