It's exactly as we said after the Bucks game. The rotations are bizarre. It's easy to blame players, but some of this is on the coaching staff.
Bench Bradley, start Howard and stop playing Russ and Rondo together. Use your head, stop with this amateur hour bs...
not firing vogel cause supposedly no one is better is available sounds just like dont fire mitch he did good with pau trade....there is always someone better but i dont of any but that doesnt mean Rob wouldnt know either
I will say this... AD says that him playing 5 might be causing issues on defense. DUH...I'm not sure why it took 17 games to figure that one out. Now if Lebron starts taking subtle shots of any kind about the "coaching" here soon...Frank might be in trouble for real.
Come on Frank: I'm a fan but you can't do this sort of lineup: it makes no sense. in fact it even more terrible is that you need to stagger THT/Westbrook to allow them to maximize the number of opportunities with their redundant skillsets
I get the defensive issues with a lineup of Rondo, Monk, Ellington, Melo & AD. But for the life of me, I don't understand why that lineup can't score. Why doesn't a Rondo and AD PnR work with three shooters every time down the floor? Yet we go for scoreless periods... technically AD should be drawing a double team and we should have a secondary action to get good looks from 3 or a drive by Rondo. And if they don't double AD, the PnR should get him free for a lob or dunk most times.
AD should have figured this out earlier when he and Bron were meeting with Russ. AD was the one who said to make the Russ thing work he would have to play more 5.
we're also very close to the danger zone in sample size. 10 games is a crap shoot. 20 games...things start to take shape. we're taking shape as a s***ty basketball team right now. boston should have been a panic button game, imo, which is why i'm sort of freaking out now when i wasn't a week ago.
To be fair though that sample size is missing Lebron for half of those games. I’m going to wait to see how the big three do together when they are all healthy for a number of games.
that's the only thing that's keeping me from saying it's over already. but his first game back was just incredibly discouraging.
Wasn't the boost that THT was when he came back, but Bron even admitted to not being 100% yet. This quote is from after the game
14 new players, some of the more important pieces have missed all or most of the season, including the most important piece in the leader. Yet there are only 4 games separating 3rd from 10th in the West. This is with the majority of the teams in the West, returning the bulk of their rosters from the previous season. I see plenty of reasons to be more optimistic than pessimistic. IDK...maybe I'm just a blind homer.
