He was good in some categories. I think he may have already had 5 turn overs entering the fourth and his defense, again, was non existent.

turnover machine....just throws it away time and time again.

Its kind of sad when you have more confidence in THT making decisions than Westbrook in the 4th.

They have to keep him as the point of attack defender. He's pretty good at fighting thru screens and the like. It keep him engaged with his mindset of 100% full throttle all the time. But his off ball defense is a disaster, he loses people all the time even if he's not willfully putting himself into better rebounding position over good defensive positioning.

I think off the ball, his attention span is too short vs on ball he just has to stay with his guy

i said it a couple pages ago, but i'd assign him whoever is going to have the ball the most on the opposing team. i already think the coaching staff has figured out to use melo like teams have hidden harden: put them on bigger players and dare the opposition to try to post them. maybe putting russ on the ball as much as possible is the solution to his defensive issues.

WOW! I could for sure live with that. Once LeBron is back, Russ is going to get more wide open threes. If he finishes above 35% I'll still be happy, but 46% is amazing.

That looks great, actually. Give us that kind of long range shooting, and suddenly we're looking much better.

I believe this team will figure things out, and that health will be the single biggest limiting factor to our success. I literally haven't been able to watch a single game yet this year, but I can't imagine anyone thinking that early struggles were not to be expected.

The fact that Westbrook is shooting that well on open 3's is amazing. Hopefully we can engage his full effort on defense and the all around game he's famous for in the most productive way possible. He's simply a force of nature, and if he's channeled properly, he's a game changer.

Yeah, his 3 ball looked pretty good out there. I don't think he's overthinking or hesitating as much.

    The turnovers were brutal.

Not sure what happened in that missed poster dunk. Doesn't have his legs yet?

This is what I mean when I say people are just looking for confirmation bias. That’s respectable shooting. I also read he was approaching 45% for mid range shots after a horrendous start from there. But he misses one shot and people call him Westbrick.

The coaching staff need to find a way to get him incorporated into a top 5 defence (it’s been done before) and he needs to improve a lot at end of game decision making - mainly with turnovers.

Right. The staff should be seeing the different ways to make him effective on offense and incorporating that into the game plan. I do think ultimately we should have others making decisions down the stretch but there are ways to make this roster work.

Russ can ball, he is still warming up. He will be catching bodies on some of these drives soon. The springs haven't been fully activated just yet.

0 for 6 on 3s. But at least he's leading the league in turnovers.

    Absolute scrub.

    Trade him for Kyrie.

Westbrook's monthly splits for his career. He is a notorious slow starter

I like him running into people for offensive fouls or miss layups consistently.
