Admittedly I've never paid a lot of attention to his play through the years and watching him now is just as baffling as it's always been. He can rack up negative stats just as quickly as his positives, it's pretty bizarre.

I do see him making adjustments and game to game he seems to progress positively.

Frank is doing him a real disservice with rotations unfortunately and he seems frustrated.

He's fearless and drives right around or through just about anybody.. going to be interesting when he's comfortable and this team hits a rhythm.

Solid game. Some questionable shots, but that's Russ.

Those two short corner 3s should be the primary 3 he takes.

The +25 was a little surprising. Couldn't exactly tell from the eye test. Big takeaway was only two turnovers.

He and Melo carried the offense and let Bron and AD not have to win it for us offensively. That's why we got them.

There is obviously some improvement. It's good to see - he's taking less threes now and they are better shots. I am cautiously optimistic that he will figure it out in the next couple of months.

Early in the season but the team has a net rating of -3.5 with him on the floor and a postive net rating of 8 when he sits .

Thought he had a really good game and the best game he's had next to Bron. The Rockets gave him space to shoot and for the most part he attacked the rim instead of settling and made them letting him get downhill.

We've been the worst 3rd quarter team in the league (just based off eye test, haven't looked at actual ranking) all year but Russ came out after he half as the only focused Laker. If he doesn't act as the team motor out there in the 3rd, we lose and there's no switch Bron can flip in the 4th when he actually wanted to start trying. We talked about Russ being the guy who can get you a win in the middle of the season when we're on the road on a cold night in middle of a long road trip when everyone else doesn't have the energy. I wasn't expecting us to need that before we're 10 games into the season.

I'll live with the 4 missed 3s because of how much driving he was doing outside of that and the fact that he only had 3 turnovers and only missed 1 FT.

Pace, chemistry, and comfort levels are increasing each game. That's a big plus.

Gotta be honest, he had a good game yesterday overall. The recklessness was kept to a dull roar and he attacked the rim which he's good at. His defensive awareness was poor but that was the case team wide.

Yeah yeah. He's still a dominant player and glad we have him for when LeBron sits or not available, plus he is adjusting his game a lot actually and much more looking for his assists and scoring going toward the hoop. Which still not many guards in this league can with his dominance.

This was a great game for Russ. He can make life so much easier for AD with his passing. This game would have gotten out of reach in the third quarter IMO, if he had taken his foot off the gas like I saw with other players on the court at the time. Russ has a lot of warts and I’m not crazy about the fit but he will always give you 100%. He deserves some props for this game.

I’m super afraid to praise him after I said we probably signed Melo a year too late and then he started going off, that Bradley should start and then he put up a full zeroes stat line, and maybe another bad call or two. But, he had a good game… *runs away and hides*

Russ is doing much better on the offensive end. But he really needs to step it up on D. Hopefully that will come.
