    Damn, this is BAD

I hate his 3s. They are nowhere close to go in, air ball, front of the rim, backboard. How on earth he doesn't see that? How nobody's telling him? He plays basketball for 20 years, most in NBA as one of the best PG in the league and you still shoot like that? Damn

Every once in awhile one goes in and his brain is leveraged for the reinforcement?

interesting. i found davion mitchell's offense so ugly as to be unplayable, but if he's really that good on d, i stand corrected.

and i don't think russ has stood out as a particularly poor defender on this year's lakers. though that's a tough mountain to climb (hill to descend?), sadly.

Russ played a comparatively marvelously more under control with self restraint game tonight with also some great passes in close to LeBron plus a nice backhand bounce to him on a back door cut to hoop from the side of the 3 circle. Someone had a heart to heart with him or he watched tape of himself in the OKC game. :D But he nailed that 3 at top of the circle at the start of the game and then I don’t think he took another all night?

I liked his line last night.

    I thought he played okay.

He wasn't perfect, but he didn't kill us.

If anything, it's a positive step.

It's better when he: plays more under control, is our main facilitator, does not take many threes.

Regardless of what the box score says.

He was ok got outplayed IMO by another PG in Rubio but it was still a step in right direction.
Didn't get in the way with trying to get into a one on one matchup which he tends to do

    1) Really like him posting up other PG's: he's a mini-Lebron against smaller guards like the Cavs. Felt they didn't use this enough.
    2) He seemed confident shooting a C and S three vs the pullsup. I'll take it
    3) Don't like they didn't use him as a screener and just stuck in the corner when the Lakers went LeIso/LePnR offense.

Yes. And I think so, she is around 6ft tall... she used to be a basketball player.

I forget the game: he set 7 screens. That was the most he set in white some time.

But yeah, we have to find ways to get him moving without the ball. We have to keep him engaged and active even if he's just a decoy to occupy the defense while we run our actions.

I do like the listing up. Hope to see the FT and 3 point percentage come up just a little, but I'm not holding my breath.

One thing I’ve noticed and it’s puzzling because of his speed is that Russ sucks (usually) on close outs to his man shooting a 3 point shot. Since I doubt he is lazy let me take a guess why. Chasing rebounds because they’re more important to him? Or am I way off base in thinking I see him sucking at close outs?

that shot makes no sense. it could have happened without the screen. one more dribble to the right, and you're either on an island with the slow guy or have drawn help from the top of the key. no way russ doesn't know this, so why? laziness?
