Yikes. Lots of minutes for Dwight, a few more for DJ (maybe we see Jay Huff on the bench?) and more minutes for Melo and probably Monk and Reaves.

Does OKC have much of a front line?

No, they suck. It would be easy for AD so I hope Howard takes advantage and gets a 20-20 today

AD can play, the only question is - do they think they really need him? We're only missing 5 guys so far, including the #1 player on the team, so... maybe we don't need AD either. OKC isn't that dangerous.

If he doesn't play, ask Dwight to go retro.

Please don't play him with Rondo anymore. This is where the stats match the eye test to a tee. Just look at the discrepancy between the Rondo/Russ 2 man lineup with any other 2 man lineup. A lot of them suck and it's a small sample size but just a chasm

Russ kind of negates Rondo's usefulness. Russ can do everything Rondo does and actually finish at the rim. If Rondo could score more, instead of getting his shot blocked so much on his drives, he and Russ would be a better combo. Jump shots aren't either guy's forte so it's an awkward pairing. Not to mention that neither are any kind of "lock down " defender at the point.

I get wanting to stagger Russ & Lebron's minutes. But I don't get not wanting them to play together much - having two unstoppable drivers on the floor with AD and two shooters is a winning combo.

If we want to win the championship, we need to get the most out of our stars when they're playing together and that includes figuring out how to dominate with westbrook to close games out.

That's why I'm not mad when Westbrook takes that pull-up mid range jumper early in the shot clock. He needs to hit that. Lebron needs to hit the 3 like he has been. AD needs to hit the mid range. And we need our shooters to do their thing.

You're correct in your assessment, but I think LeBron is trying to move away from the "unstoppable driver" mode a little. He's trying to stretch the floor more, and... it seems it's been working so far. But this only reinforces some of what you said.

agree, but that all requires AD at the 5 for the minutes discussed.

The offense looks better with Westbrook running the point. Nice game. Anything that helps AD and our teams offense is a good thing

don't even care about the triple-double, this guy has one of the worst shot selections in the NBA.

He's a dumb basketball player. Don't really know if's he smart off the court but if his basketball IQ matched his athletic gifts he would have had a career like Isiah Thomas and not whatever this is.

And f*** his triple doubles the number of times he's out of position at the 3 point line because he's closer to the paint to get ready for the rebound is sickening

44 million for a guy playing the deepest position in the league and the opposing PG has clearly played better then him 4 times already this season (Curry, Morant, Paul, and now SGA)

Felt like the team was basically copying Westbrook's performance.

First half, he was good, getting people involved, albeit with iffy shooting. Then the second half, not making plays as much for others and his shooting tanked.

He/Vogel needs to find a way to get offense more easily. Needs to attack the rim more, which we saw less today.

Man. Too bad we can’t swap Rondo’s brain for whatever Westbrook has in there.

Westbrook is really rubbing me the wrong way this season, I’ve always been a fan of how intense he plays the game, I’m a UCLA fan and watched him in college, but man he’s hard to watch. 10 turnovers, just some horrible, careless, costly ones. And then that bit at the end, and he says nonsense like he’s oldschool about it, give me a break. Laker Twitter calling him on it.

I’m gonna be that guy and give a possibly bad early take, but I’m not sure we can win it all with him being a key player, he just makes extremely costly mistakes. Unless by the end of the season everyone is healthy and LeBron is fresh and controls the ball to end games (and even he makes careless late game turnovers as well), and they’ve somehow figured out how to mesh together, I’m just not seeing it. Westbrook is so bad on defense too aside from some flashy steals, like he leaves his man all the time. Some of our lineups just cannot maintain leads because the defense is so bad.
