Bah humbug, you positive posers just tick me off!!

AD looks imposing - he's injury prone
Carmelo looks lean, has turned back the clock, and is going for his first DPOY - I wouldn't let him near my sister!
Lebron is healthy and will be able to share the load with the greatest Laker 3some since? - almost 40!!
We have ridiculous improvements on 3 pt shooting on the team - great, we are going from 26th in the league to 25th!!!
Our backups have backups - and they still park like idiots!
We have size - big and slow, yo gasol!!!
We have versatility - Yeah if these guys were not pro bb players, they could work at a minimart or a game store!!
We have strength - still couldn't beat my old mother in arm wrestling
We have shot blocking - on the bench
We have rebounding - great. for all the missed shots we are going to take
We have 3 of the 4 top active career assists guys - career, historical, NOT current!!
We brought several Lakers back home - nobody else wanted them!
Jeanie just had her Birthday - 75 and counting!
Kyrie isn’t on the team - we NEED him, not enough crazies here!!
Jimmy Buss is back to betting at horses in the bar. - F him, he took my seat at my bar!!

    I feel loads better now.

USA Today ranks AD at 57th in their 75 GOAT list. Being only at 28, I think this is great. However, if AD really had that dog in him, he should take this as an added fuel to the fire.

    57th best of all time?

that's generous. Always thought that was a tough thing for active players that were too young. Let them finish their body of work first. But 57th? I wonder if I'll make time to check that list out and see who is not on it. That would seem to leave out a lot of OGs.

Looking forward to AD imposing his will on the NBA this season. He’s due.

if they are basically projecting the rest of his stats, that's not too high (and is maybe too low). but if they're saying that if he retired today, he'd be #57...i'm not sure. i'd want to see the list.

Remember when they had the 50 greatest players of all time, and Shaq was on there? WAY TOO EARLY at that point. They were totally projecting his career.

right. so is luka top-5? because very few players have started with that level of individual success. gotta be careful projecting. one of the characteristics of the all-time greats is staying power, right?

anyway, i'm one of AD's bigger fans, but i'm dubious about that ranking currently. but if he plays like he has so far in his career for another 6-8 years and wins another ring or two, he cracks the big conversations.

No sense of projecting all time careers. AD doesn't deserve to be in any rank of all time greats, his all-time great career started in the bubble

Shaq his first 4 years was a 4-time all star starter. Won a scoring title and averaged 27 points and 12 rebounds and took Orlando to the Finals in his 3rd year. Shaq earned that spot.

Lebron hasn't played long enough for us to be considering him as the GOAT!

Well, hmm, how can I explain this one...well....

Anthony Davis is the only player in history to win an NBA title, NCAA title, Olympic Gold and FIBA championship.

He was a 1st overall pick, Four 1st all NBA teams, four 1st team all defense. 8-time all star. All star MVP. Led the league in blocks 3 times.

Was absolutely robbed of the DOPY award in 2020. I'm predicting he will get that award this year. He has an MVP in him as well but that one will have to be done in the next year or two possibly.

AD did most of this in one of two areas considered to be the Siberia of the NBA. The other being Minnesota.

Lakers faltered when he got hurt last year. If he hadn't, we would be back to back champs.

So, AD is one of the greatest. He's done all this to the age of 27. When he is done, he will have more accolades.

LeBron is great. One of the greatest. But there is only one GOAT. The debate that still goes on is just lazy fodder.

I watched it with my own eyes. No one tops number 23. The only guy I saw that got close, was number 24.

AD is good, but I don’t consider him an all time great yet. All his current accolades are a bit meh apart from his ring.

Who cares if he won NCAA or FIBA? Who cares if he got robbed a DPOY? Who cares of a All-star MVP award? Who cares if he has a MVP on him if he doesn't win it?

If his career ended today, he has 4 Playoff appearances, half of it a 1st round exit and only once getting to Conference Finals (and getting a ring). No (important) personal accolades to speak of that other 200 players don't have.

He is indeed a great player, a unicorn who can dominate the league. Still has a lot to prove though.
