This was his plan instead of being only about the money. You all just wait.

    The wife.

i suppose he's already made upwards of 50 million, so he can (literally) afford to laugh some. but man...i don't think he'll recover that amount over the remainder of his entire career. maybe not even half.

    it's his next contract demand.

"ok, so you've all spoken. you weren't in for the 100 million. so i'm lowering it to 70 million. for a limited time only!"

Copy that. Admitting for the record, not that it was needed as you say ...... that he was all about himself and not the team, in coming to a g-damn Championship team. Guy's a cancer.

What an a**. Didn’t give them everything you bring to the table lol. Maybe what he brought to the table was a bag of peanuts when everyone else brought steak.

f*** that POS. He had a s***ty season, cost him his bag, and now he's trying to save face. No one torpedoes their contract season because they don't want to stay on that team. It's called a S&T you dumb F! We would've gladly orchestrated that for him if he had any value and anyone wanted him.

    That's shocking to read. Unfortunate.

Well he'll fit right in with that team wearing those colors.

    "...when they wanted to talk"

clever phrasing. my guess is they didn't say anything to him at the outset of FA, and his agent didn't panic because surely they'd just take the first big offer and screw the lakers. then the market dried up and the lakers reached out with one-year and S&T on the front burner, and his agent decided they'd rather control their location.

still hilarious that he ended up a backup on a worse team for the one-year mini mle, though. there were like, 5000 better options had he not had his head up his a**.

Does this sound like double talk or what. No contract offered during the season, but then later, "we decided not to sign that contract"

“The Lakers told us we’re not talking [about the extension] during the season, and, at the end of the day, I never had that contract in front of me,” Schroder said. “That’s one thing. But they wanted to talk, and at the end of the day, me and my agent decided not to sign that contract.”

Based on this tweet that was posted earlier, I think Dennis is full of s***. He himself acknowledged that he dropped the “bag”, so there had to be some kind of contract offered. He’s just in damage control here and IMO, not doing a good job.
