They've done a great job with Steph and his chronic ankle injuries. Klays injuries had much less to do with training staff and more to do with just being freak injuries. Similar to Cousins, back to back injuries. Just really bad luck and Klay stays I'm great shape
They let Kevin Durant play in the playoffs when they shouldn’t have. Didn’t Iggy say something derogatory about the training staff after he left also?
They did do that but Durant was also asking to play. Hard when a titles on the line and you're an MVP caliber player who if you don't play could change the entire course of a series. I mean guys have sacrificed huge in the playoffs to get a title. I remember Lawrence Taylor had a broken ankle, got a cortisone shot and played in the superbowl and had a huge game. Terrell Owen's the same. AD tried to go for us last year against Phoenix. I mean it's really hard to say Cookie, especially when it's the playoffs or for the title.
Just finished listening to the podcast, some highlights: -Bron has been in the gym by 7 AM the past couple weeks. Also on the Ellington podcast I listened to, Wayne said that by the time he's getting to the gym in the mornings that Bron is already in a full sweat. Needless to say, The King is locked in and not messing around. -Vogel said AD's been working out at home and they were impressed when he stopped by the gym recently. -Excited about Russ' energy level the he's bringing to the team. - lineups/ rotations will be worked out in camp. - said they don't necessarily have one lockdown defender on the wing, but everyone's is capable on that end. - seemed giddy about THT's potential and the opportunities he'll have.

Now, the controversy has hit its peak with Andre Iguodala spilling more beans. In a recent interview with the breakfast club, Iggy claims the Warriors medical staff cleared him to play on a fractured leg. This occurred in the 2018 Western Conference Finals when Iggy missed a few games versus the Houston Rockets. Yes, and the words Vogel used about AD really say a lot: "He looked imposing," then while he and the coaches made eye contact, they said "We're gonna be reeeealllly good this year." Frank usually tempers his language, never really too high or too low--Mr. Even Keel. But to hear him say things like 'imposing,' and 'we're gonna be reeeeally good.' Wow.
I know he was glad to have a normal off season where he could get back on a regular training schedule. Glad he found the time to get after it when he wasn't picking out wedding decorations. The fact that he's been doing his work in the shadows and has become the forgotten man with all the media attention focusing on Russ, Bron, and the age of the new guys...I think he's really going to surprise a lot of people and knock them back on their heels. If things break the way I expect them to, he should be DPOY and have the most improved statistical season out of our 3 stars. With the roster we have, with him playing more C, and with Russ lobbing him the passes he was begging DS; I expect BIG things for AD.
That's something Coach made point to bring up as well. That 6 week turnaround last season was brutal.
people REALLY overlooked this in evaluating our team last year, imo. once AD went down against phx i was honestly rooting for a quick exit just so that we didn't have a long run that was going to wear guys down without resulting in hardware.

yeah, it's the wrong thread, but we've definitely spared expenses. i'm glad that they're using some of the savings on trying to improve the medical/training staff, though.
Finally listened to the whole interview with Frank. Everything you said, plus I found it interesting around the 23 minute mark Frank's genuine comments about the friendship he developed with Jason Kidd and how much he contributed last couple of years. He's extremely happy for him, especially going back to the team where he had great success as a player. And mentioned it was a good lesson in life in general for everyone, no matter what you may hear negative about someone to form your own opinions and not simply take it all as how it is with them. Paraphrasing.
Good you brought that up, LT. He was open about Kidd’s baggage. Hell, if we were all being suspicious of Kidd knifing Frank in the back, you knew he was keenly aware of that possibility as well. But Kidd redeemed himself it looks like. I remember reading about a month ago Kidd openly saying he understood he needed to learn to put his a****** days behind him if he wanted to be an effective coach and mentor in the NBA. Looks like he’s done it, and I would imagine if you get Frank’s seal approval, he’s good.
That one year extension was my guess as well. Lines his contract up with Lebron and Westbrook which gives Pelinka a chance to reset the team if these next two seasons fail to bring a championship. You'd have AD, maybe THT and a clean slate to work with.
