rivers, morey, and dantoni all have one thing in common: they're as or more concerned with their own stature than with team success. each would probably argue that their stature rises only through team success, but i don't think that's true. morey rose to fame while helming some very average basketball teams, and one could argue that dantoni initially overachieved and then spent much of his career making more talented rosters worse via his inflexibility. rivers is just constantly pointing fingers away from himself while paying lip service to his own accountability "this is on me. i mean, yeah, it would help if ben simmons didn't suck..."
Pretty ugly recount of a Kidd led practice in Milwaukee... KG didn't like him either, so it's not like anyone received special treatment with the Nets or Bucks. If you don't remember that one... So glad we got "stuck" with Vogel. Kidd better change his ways in Dallas or Luka will have him fired his first year with the team.
lol, you can't do that stuff with nba teams. and btw, picking on dudes like larry sanders is classic playground bully stuff. kidd's always struck me as a huge a******, actually. but he's immensely popular with players, and i wonder if these things aren't related in this circle.
Kidd sounds like an a**. Please do the same in Dallas and piss off Luka, so he can ask for a trade to the Lakers lol. How can half your team not know how to swim? I’m sure these guys have pools at their homes and small children. That’s a recipe for disaster. I saw a video today of Drummond jumping in to his pool when his kid fell in.
Because they all are 7 feet tall so they don't need to swim to survive, just stand Saw that Drum thing too. Seemed staged no?
And I thought Byron was an old school hard a**. Byron: I need my players to have grit and be fox hole worthy. Jason Kidd: Hold my beer, actually spill my beer on court before I drink drive and run over all the rookies. I essentially see this scene going down like "Suicide Squad" with Larry Sanders as the Weasel and Kidd as Amanda Waller. A good thing Kidd doesn't know how to put bombs inside people's skulls (yet), though he has been working on Jager bombs.
LOL. Yes you certainly have, Blake. Piss off. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/blake-griffin-lakers-ve-situations-150048561.html
needs more context--was he including his current team in this as well? if so, his point is accurate. if not, it's bizarre hypocrisy. i'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt in that he's recognizing that the league had three teams really load up, and only one (or even zero) will get the ring next year.
Well he’d have to be you’d think unless he’s as self unaware as Schroder is to his NBA salary worth, but appreciated the chance to take a shot at him.
honestly, one thing i've learned in my adult life is not to underestimate people's unawareness of self. i'm finally not getting surprised by it. i can't tell you how many times, in professional situations, where i've been like..."you're really mad...about the thing you always do...to everyone else...always?"
The NBA doesn't test for weed anymore. They stopped in March of 2020 Edit: they stopped randomly testing for it
What’s everyone’s thoughts about the C Bags resigning of both Marcus Smart and Robert Williams? The resignings will cost them a combined $30 mil/season for those two. Add in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum and the C Bags have close to $100 mil/season committed to these 4. championship?
