"What you going to teach me? How can you alter anything in my basketball life? I got an MVP already. I got scoring titles.”

A guy with 0 rings has the audacity to say this lol what a s***head. I'm glad they are all together in the same team lol

In terms of skill, this guy is still the best player in the league

I was thinking this exact thing, the more I hear Durand speak his opinion, the more I just think he’s a ****.

On top of that there is an interview where he admits to leaving GSW because of what Draymond said. Like I said the guy is just weird and constantly changes his story and narrative.

Ok, well, it looks like this is setting up to be an epic season coming up in more ways than one.

Lakers will have a path to the title that could mimic the Eastern Conference playoffs during the 1980s.

The C Bags, Sixers and later the Pistons had to go through TWO legitimate title caliber teams to win the title during their playoff runs. One was in the ECF and then eventually the Lakers 80% of the time during the decade of the 1980's.

I was going to write a little more on this subject, but i am going to save it for the next podcast. It will communicate better that way. But to give it a tease, Durant is trying to set himself up this next season as the villain. If he wants to play the villain? Cool. Someone needs to tell Durant to make sure his crew isn't banging strippers on the weekends during the season and taking personal time off to tend to your social agenda. If you are more than basketball, than, take a pay cut and go be all you can be. When you are making 30 mil plus , you have a responsibility to play basketball first. Sorry, that's life.

Supporting players more in their successes and failures will be a staple in the commentary, however, there still will be criticism to those who hang on the entitled pole. The entitled pole is a very unstable pole. If you need to know if that is true, ask Dennis Schroder and his agent.

I'll say it now.... Russ may come in and become my second fav Laker behind Kobe. I love this dudes attack mode. Yea he can get on your nerves but he is relentless. The attitude he brings to the court reminds me of Kobe. I loved Kobe's work ethic, his drive and his never stop going at them approach. Russ has that and I think he is going to destroy teams this year. He is my fav signing of the off season personally. When was the last time we had someone just want to attack and rip the rim off?

Im on board the russ hype train early.

I am too Puffy! So good to see you posting again as well. Super excited to see Russ seek and destroy the opposition this season as a Laker. It's almost unfathomable but there is a strange sense that it was also always meant to happen. Kobe approved 100%.

The legend goes he got a swat on Russ two decades ago. The shame of that moment has never left Russ, that’s why he goes hard every single moment. He never wants to have the tiny white guy swat him again.

Even though t would be dangerous as hell, I want to see one of them throw the bat in between his legs as he drives by them.

Absolutely LJ. I honestly don't think we have had a guy outside of Kobe who is just hellbent on punishing people. There is zero passiveness in this cat. I really think he will help AD more than anyone else. I'm excited to see what he does here.

I agree Puffy. The only criticism I’ve had with AD is that tendency we have seen from him to go passive at times. It’s not a good look. Russ should definitely inspire him to stay aggressive and help him in that department.
