This guy is the best free-agent signing for us so far. I would not be surprised if he gets big minutes.

The Derek Fisher comparisons are intriguing. Hope he grows into being a tough leader and motivator like Fish

me too. i think ariza becomes your guy who makes the little plays at big times like AC did so often, and nunn can provide some offensive spark.

i still think it would have been better to keep him, simply because i think there are so few players like him in the league.

we'll just have to play differently and count on different guys.

He and Dwight (AC) are much the same when it comes to knowing their roles and the overall attitude. Both guys cheer just as loud from the pine and they do on the floor. Says a lot about their character and pumps your squad up something fierce. Wish they were in preseason already I want to see them play lol

'Fess up time... When I first saw Nunn, I thought he was a souped up Avery Johnson. I like the fact that he can take defenders off the dribble to create.

Nunn is a good player. Went undrafted in 2018, worked his way through a season in the G league. Then got his opportunity the following preseason for the heat. He scored 40 in the last game of preseason and got rewarded with a rookie contract. Scored 112 points in his first five games (the most since KD scored 113) and had a few rookie of the month awards. He was a finalist for rookie of the year alongside Ja Morant and Zion Williamson and got some good playoff experience with the Heat in the bubble.

I'm shocked Miami let him go. He is a 26yr old, athletic player with a chip on his shoulder that wants to learn and succeed. If he is coached well he can become a good defender, he shoots well (especially FTs), can attack the rim and has some instant offence ability. If a team invests into him, he could become a great and impactful 6th man that plays a winning brand of basketball.

If he continues to move around and is not held accountable on D, he'll be a lou williams, jordan clarkson kind of role player.

I feel like Monk and THT also have quite a bit of development potential. It would be nice to develop these guys and keep at least one of them, hopefully two.
