I read it somewhere that it was a players option for the 3rd year but can’t find it anywhere online right now. It might have been misreported but I know it was THT’s contract.
I thought for sure someone was going to go after him after everything that was being said via the media with multiple GMs talking about making major offers for him.. funny how things work out sometimes
just trying to poison the well a bit, i think. give it three weeks and you'll start hearing folks talking about how the lakers misread the market and are overpaying for a guy who really hasn't shown anything yet.
already being said by non lakerfans on realgm n pretending that there werent discussions n writers saying it was possible opposing teams could muck us up by doing an Arenas offer on us
right. had we kept caruso, we overpaid for a scrub who can only play due to lebron. since we let him go, we're stupid because he's a glue guy and a tremendous bargain! it's actually kinda boring at this point. would love to see anyone just stick with a reasoned viewpoint.
I hope he can be this year's Kuzma. Not sure how many plays will be run for him but he can control his destiny by rebounding, defending and making some 3s. The team has plenty of offense already they need speed, energy and shooting off the bench
i'd like to see him get some point forward run with nunn and AD on the floor. he made some very nice passes that weren't just drive and dumps last year. i think he's got good vision. put a second ballhandler, two shooters (melo and monk?), and a do-it-all big like AD out there and i think you can blast other second units. THT can defend backup sfs no problem.
I hope the game slows down this year for him. I think he’s got potential to be a good defender, his BBQ IQ has just been to slow to see the play develop. Plus the guy needs to be living in the gym, working on his 3 ball.
i mean, who knows how things will shake out and which strides he's made, etc. i think given what we currently know, our closing lineups should be pretty vet heavy and the middle parts of game should be where some of the young guys try to carry things.
He needs that 3. But I'm good with him leading the 2nd unit this year and getting 6th man of the year. Year after Westbrook is out and he gets the reigns Wouldn't it be nice?
Let's hope THT improves on his 3 game. Lebron and Brook will be kicking out to Ellington, Melo, Monk, Bazemore, Nunn and Ariza, not bad. THT can create on his own , but when he's with the big 3, hope he can develop a killer instinct @ the 3 and not be so hesitant.
