This is actually it. Essentially, they chose THT over Caruso. Sucks, but as they say, it is what it is.
Gutted. Don’t want to think about this one too much. I’m hoping we can still get Hield to ease the pain.
Still trying to process this but it doesn’t matter if it’s an hour later or a year later, I think it was a mistake by the Lakers to let him go.
9 million a year is absolutely fair compensation for AC and less than what f***ing Kuzma got last year from the Lakers. Don't like this: getting Dwight back was to fix the roleplayer issue the bigs had last year. Now we've lost KCP and AC who were just perfect championship level roleplayers.
Yeah. I will watch far fewer games this season as a result of this. I already struggle to like Lebron. Now you trade away good guys and role players that the fans love to make room for "stars" that arent really stars?
Jeezus I leave the site for 40 minutes and come back to this. Caruso and Lonzo are teammates again and the Eagle has lande errrr …. left the building?? Damn!! :Vogelheaving:
btw, i don't see the logic in the bulls spending 20 million on lonzo AND caruso. one or the other, imo. both is redundant, imo. neither is a pick and roll ballhandler/iso penetrator. neither is a stopper type against pgs, either. just my 2 cents. not sour grapes. AT ALL.
Thank you Alex Caruso for all the games you had a hand in winning for the Purple And Gold. You deserve the money, the financial security it brings to you and your family. Wish you success in the future...just not against us. Now bring back Avery Bradley...!
right. we joke about it, and it's painted as ironic fandom--but caruso is simply a very valuable player. hearing that he gave us a chance to counter and we declined makes it worse (though i suspected it already).
wouldn't caruso be byc in a S&T, thus the TPE would be half the contract value? but hollinger was fired as a gm, so...
I don’t know, at this point I’m scrambling…..for real. CAP situation is getting too complicated for me.
