he's been an a****** at every stop. still can't believe a) we offered him 84 million and b) he turned it down. i guess the latter adds up given his character over time.
I was on the fence about trying Schroeder again for another season, but now… f*** him. The chemistry seemed off for most of the season, and now we got an idea who was probably the problem child. I know some of you may not like Kuz, but he’s never been a locker room cancer. With all of the drama from Schroeder this season, I’ll assume Kuz wasn’t the problem here. And it’s sad because I had been wanting Schroeder in the Lakers for years. Be careful what you wish fir I guess.
at this talent level, i generally agree. is schroder likely the bigger problem? data over time point to yes. but i might send a message to other young players that we don't deal with this crap. wouldn't surprise me if lebron stepped in and told management same: ship both. very curious to see how this all plays out. just a couple weeks to go....
I agree both should go but for different reasons, kuz needs/wants to shine, cant do it here, DS thinks hes a 30M/yr player so quite delusional n obviously doesnt get along with our players
woj made his name as a non-partisan purveyor of news, but look at his track record with respect to the lakers. he hates them and works against them.
Just remember, he is actually doing us a favor. We gotta trade this guy. He is a great player who just does not fit our lineup. We are going to do some team a big favor by trading him to them. Company line my friend, company line!! Get with the program.
Getting the rock out of Bron hands ( or any ball dominant player ) does not work , never did and never will. What we need is a playmaker when Lebron sits . A guy like Caruso is enough next to Bron in the playmaking department . If Bron can't dominate for 36 minutes+ anymore the way he's been always playing , we're screwed
this has been my opinion for the entirety of his career. but lebron keeps wanting to share the floor with ball-dominant pgs (or so it appears), so i guess we're wrong. it's true that before schroder, we didn't even have another shot creator outside of lebron (and AD, i suppose), and a team does need more than one. but not one that's going to limit the effectiveness/utilization of the best player in basketball. but houston was best when they got paul to play with harden, and word is dallas wants a pg to play with luka... anyway, schroder wasn't it last year.
I will say though, he always hated Lebron worse than the Lakers, and I recall several times when he would take shots at Lebron using Kobe as measuring stick. Was it to praise Kobe? Probably not. More just to take a shot at Lebron since Woj is a petty SOB.
true. i may have conflated them since lebron is a laker now. but yes, he's never liked lebron, and it taints his reporting on the subject. wasn't he one of the big ones who kept saying we weren't going to get AD? i'm one of the more pessimistic fans in terms of what moves are possible, and i even i thought we were going to get him the second he signed with klutch (thought we had a good chance even before it). the reporters claiming the opposite had agendas, imo. anyway, it's a neat trick to paint schroder as unfairly maligned for whatever reason. he put himself ahead of the team, turned down a long-term contract, and then underperformed in almost all ways. he is maligned, and quite fairly.
Yes. He is the one who kept pumping up the Boston package and how the Lakers had nothing to offer. Then when it looked inevitable, it became the Lakers giving up too much and getting hosed. He has always hated Lebron since he has no insight into his camp. Woj has informants everywhere and Lebron has never let him in.
Yeah I mean we won title with Bron as the only playmaker in the 1st unit and Rondo making plays off the bench . Truth is Bron and AD have to be themselves in the playoffs , the rest does not matter much .
Yeah..Woj actually got called out in a couple of articles about his Lebron hating. He chilled out on it afterwards. He was the big inside scoop guy, but he could never get any traction with Lebron's camp, that pissed him off. Lebron winning a chip in Cleveland kinda took some wind out of his sails too.
