they're all better than we gave them credit for, but none are "omg i can't believe we let them go" quality. kuz is the same. if we dump him just to shake things up as many seem to want, he'll look better in another situation, and we'll complain about his replacement instead. there's a lot of "why aren't you terance mann" sentiment, but we'll see what the league's estimation of terance mann is in two years.
My thoughts on Kuz remain the same. I’m fine with moving him and pretty much anyone else outside of the big two. I think it’s highly likely he will be moved since we don’t have many guys we can trade. Just not sure who we will target.
Guys have short memories. Danny Green was and a 1st were trade for Schroder. Question becomes: who will replace Danny's role? Pelinka probably had Wes wrapped up in FA. Pelinka thinks ahead, and he should be; we don't have many guys with the size Kuz has...he has legit wing size. If he goes this season in a trade, I'm sure we'll replace his size they he gives us on the wing.
Yep. I wouldn't mind keeping him. He'll piss me off like all the other players do, but it is what it is. LOL. That said, you can't go 4/23 in the first round and think Rob isn't taking phone calls. That's just the way he is...
Kuzma doesn't fit well with AD, for a guy that has averaged almost 30 mins a game for his career thus far, I think we can ind a better fit than Kyle Kuzma.
i think it would be good for him. wish there was a way to make a trade with sac for barnes work, because i think he'd have a chance to be more of a headliner there. the mavs once signed chandler parsons to a big deal, and kuz reminds me a little of parsons. maybe they give us dorian finney smith and willie cauley stein or dwight powell? or josh richardson and one of those two bigs? would fill two holes for us (rim running big and wing defender) and give kuz a chance to be a second scoring option next to the best offensive player in basketball.
It’s very similar to someone like Robert Covington who I saw mentioned here, he had a down year, a pretty bad year actually. Kuz without question had a better season. But Covington is still living off reputation. I’m also fine with trading Kuz, but only if it improves the team.
thanks for the help. we have no means to acquire a true #3 and won a title without one already. whoever wins this year will do so without one, too, btw.
Or make DAMN sure we get something back for him that assuredly is a better "strategic" addition to the team, hopefully at least at a "reasonable" deal, considering the value Kuzma brings at his salary, inconsistency on offense baked into the equation. Plusses are still size, athleticism, footwork, rebounding, defense, can get hot offensively ... some times.
