right? never thought to take the ball out of his hands? if khris middleton could defend kd on an island all game, he'd be the mvp.

anyway, i said pre-playoffs that i didn't trust the jazz or bucks to take out the evil empires, and i was sadly correct.

Wild. People talked crap on the bubble title, but THIS is the one that might need an asterisk.

i feel bad for the unexpected title team if it happens. if lac or bkn wins, everyone will forget all the injuries and weirdness. but if utah or phx wins, it's the only thing that will be discussed, imo.

Yeah. That’s exactly how this will play out. The narrative is already forming.

"hahahalakerssuck. but it's a real shame what's been happening with injuries around the league. the poor clippers, for example. luckily, the brooklyn nets had the brilliant foresight to collect three stars."

Yeah... I am going too far with this but you blame a 36 year old Bron who is injured for the Lakers losing? Okay....

i don't blame lebron for losing, but i just watched post-achilles kd deliver the kind of game i was hoping lebron would give us just once after AD went down. especially after all the beta bs on this site, i don't think we can play it both ways.

In other news, Kawhi is out for game 5 and may be potentially done for the series. CP3 is also under COVID protocol... which means he likely didn't get vaccinated? He may miss the entire WCF but I doubt it since he's got so much power. Probably will be ready for game 1 of WCF. As much as I dislike the Clippers, Kawhi has been great. Clippers don't stand a chance with Paula Georgina leading the team...

Every title has an asterik , it depends on which team you're rooting for/hating on .

There is always a "if" but a title is simply a title .

Overall it sucks and not good for B-ball fans .

Even if I hate them , I don't want to see CP3 missing games or the Floppers losing without Kawhi . I want competitive games

    .

I know the league only cares about money but the current schedule ' and back to 82 games next season isn't working .

    Players need more rest .

literally every team is banged up except for the bucks and hawks

for all the crap people talk on the bubble (because the lakers ended up winning,) at least every team went in there at full strength as a result of the 3 month break

it's an interesting question. this year seems particularly bad, but is it a trend? if so, why? the athletes are probably in better condition on average now, but it's possible some of the training advances maybe weren't advances? one thing i'm curious about is the number of achilles injuries. these used to be pretty rare in the nba, iirc. now you basically expect 1-2 a year. i don't know, maybe that's just me and the data don't support it.

but in the 80s and 90s, they played 82 games and stars played more minutes. why wouldn't the injury rate be similar? and again, maybe it is.

Don't feel bad at all for him, should get vaccinated. Unless he did, then it sucks.

jalen rose claims he did get vaccinated. if that's true, then he shouldn't be in the protocol that long. and with the clips-jazz series still going, he should be back for game 1 of the WCF

CP2 still. Wow. I think it's time to consider anti-curse measures.
