Was just watching a ESPN clip on Lebron and i'm wondering why every season his legacy seems to be "on the line".

I remember Kobe was dealing with **** like this too.

It really is getting out of hand.

This series has zero impact on Lebron’s legacy after he retires. Zero.

    Didn't get his team ready , didn't defend .

I get he was injured but him and AD have the same mentality , they relax and have to lose after a win to get motivated and go back on top .

He's no MJ or Kobe in this aspect

Man, are you serious? LeBron isn't 100% healthy. Kobe lost huge games as well. Trying to blame LeBron when he flipped our franchise from zero to 100 is just disgusting. LeBron did his best... Every time he got to the basket, Suns players created a wall. When Bron dishes it out, his teammates bricked it. It's not on him. He was leading the league in the MVP award right up until he was injured. He came back too early trying to help the Lakers avoid a play-in...

If this wasn't the playoffs, I think he's still sitting. He clearly wasn't himself. Before the injury against the Hawks, he's a finalist for MVP. He had some straight ahead, down hill lift BUT couldn't cut, couldn't post and couldn't explode from a stationary position.

Rest up and hopefully we can right the ship next season, after a real off season.

I agree. He's going to be 37 next season, though. How much more of Bron can we really expect to play at this level. Lakers will need to find a way for Bron to get resting time... Seems like every time he is on the bench trying to get some rest, the Lakers fall apart. It's why I wanted Lowry. He would have been able to hold or extend a lead. Lakers can't keep relying on Bron the way they have been.

It what it is , the series was lost in Game 4 because the team and him didn't value possessions in the 1st half with some dumb TOs and not coming back on transition when the game could have been put away .

Today he gave up so many practice 3s to the Suns .

Yeah. Finding a way to ease his load will be crucial moving forward.

An actual play making PG allows him to play at this level for another couple years IMO. He’s worked on his game so much that he’s added a consistent three pointer and an unstoppable fadeaway jumper. If he’s allowed to do those things more and not carry the whole offense the entire season he should be able to play 2 years at a very high level.

I think if he has to, AC can start next to him. But we MUST get a facilitating PG who can log 30 minutes and be in the closing lineup if need be. Rose for example. Unfortunately I think that ship sailed with him being their best player on the playoffs. But that's what we're searching the classifieds for.

We've seen the Rose experiment with Cleveland back with Bron. It failed and Rose was traded. Rose is a good player but the Lakers need a guard who can shoot. The #1 problem with Schroder is he couldn't shoot. When we had Rondo, Rondo made timely threes in the playoffs. Schroder couldn't make any so the floor spacing was horrible. Lakers need a guard who can create for others and can shoot the ball. I'm not worried about the defense because I have hope Vogel can get the team defense to be elite. But we need that floor spacing and shooting.

At his age I didn't expect him to play with Team USA, but still good to hear it straight from the source

Yeah while I agree to an extent that LeBron is not MJ or Kobe at least when it comes to having that killer instinct at the end of the day LeBron was playing without his star sidekick in AD while being injured himself. Also for some reason LeBron when driving to the rim cannot get any calls even when the opposing defense hammers him time after time.

LeBron is 36 years old it is unrealistic to expect him to carry this team without AD especially when his teammates cannot make the defense pay for trapping and doubling him all game long.

Just wanted to say it's such a blessing he's rocking the Purple and Gold Armor.

3 years of Lebron , 1 Championship with more to come!

Still in shock we got him believe it or not :LLLLLebronlaughing:

Next year he's gonna be the oldest ever to win an MVP and Finals MVP.

Lebron having a full offseason is gonna do wonders for him.
The rest of the league is gonna be in trouble.

After this moment I knew we ain't gonna win this series. Lebron was productive but he could've been better and fought more for our team. I felt several times during this series we didn't fight hard enough or give it our all.

i wonder just how much his ankle was bothering him this series. it's obvious he wasn't at 100% as he was hesitant to drive to the basket a lot of the time. not to mention the career low numbers for a playoff series
