So you, like @BangBoomPow, obviously on record about not wanting AD here (??), and don't value last season's championship because, really, it has an asterisk on it. AD's made of glass and it's fun to just pile on the guy now, besides you've got an argument you just have to win.

The schedule changed last year, but as far as I’m concerned, he lasted the full season and playoffs and we won a title. You play the hand you’re dealt.

I didnt say he wasnt worth it cause he wasnt winning, I said he has injury history and that is my only beef with him now, all you guys keep going on bout how he didnt have enough time to rest due to weird season, well a bunch of other Lakers had the same issue they didnt miss months worth of the season with exception of Bron which took a freak accident to get him there

How do you have beef with someone because they have an injury history. It’s out of his control, it’s not something to get angry over, frankly it’s ridiculous.

I agree. It is not like he is trying to get injured. It is just unfortunate. Not his fault. Stuff happens.

no armcharing, i didnt say he needed to play, I said if he can and wants to and Dr clear him he should. Have you not excused his injury due to not having normal off season? All i said was rest of the guys that were here last season went thru same ordeal I dont see them injured every other month

WTF does his body, coming off of an apparent lingering injury from the playoffs, according to people here who were aware of it, and not having the time to properly let it heal and make it stronger again as in a "normal" off season .... have to do with ANYONE ELSE'S (yes, SHOUTING) body or injuries? The calf / achilles area. The groin is simply a s*** happens kind of injury. With all the odd ways these guys land and the slips on sweat on the floor can happen to anyone. See "Iron Man" Lebron last year.

Who were the 3 players with the highest minutes last postseason that are still on our roster?

    Lebron, AD, KCP

Who are the 3 players currently dealing with injuries?

    Lebron, AD, KCP

Weird how the 3 players with highest minutes that we counted on the most are the only ones struggling through injuries this year. Total coincidence I’m sure.

I don't see any correlation to last year. KCP has been healthy this year. His injury and Lebron's have nothing to do with wear, but just bad luck.

bron had a freak ankle accident otherwise he was a good as ever n kcp just got injured in this series nothing lingering from those playoffs whatsoever, guessing to you bron heavy minutes in those playoffs lead to hill rolling on his ankle?

Im guessing a long playoff run can impact someone’s recovery time. Anyone who has played basketball knows freak plays happen a lot more often when you’re tired. But hey, keep fighting the good fight of searching for any and all reasons to irrationally hate on our guys.

wasn't this the kuzma thread? anyway

i already addressed this elsewhere, but if AD is injury prone, then lots of players are. especially big ones. he's basically never played less than 75% of his games prior to this season and has played 90% of them in at least 3 years, i think.

i didn't see the others strap the team on their back defensively (while also carrying a large offensive load) to win a title.

he said he was fine during the playoffs last year, and then we find out his foot was purple during the finals. these guys are always saying they're fine. i'm sure AD is saying he's fine today as he gimps around the training room.

we got six weeks off (and really, like, two weeks), and he was never not hurt. almost everyone here could see it from game 1. plenty of us commented on it throughout the year until he was finally shelved. he came back and wasn't in shape, and my guess is that contributed to the groin injury. the only thing that can fix him now is rest and rehab, imo.

but there's a pretty good chance he shows up next year, looks like AD, and plays his customary 65-75 games.

that is, unless we finish the job on his achilles by playing him in a lost cause season.

"Los Angeles did engage teams with packages involving Kyle Kuzma before March's trade deadline, sources said. Kuzma begins a three-year, $39 million contract next season.

"They made a bunch of calls," one assistant general manager told B/R. "They were very active."

In addition to their pursuit of Lowry, the Lakers were canvassing the league for opportunities to acquire a rookie-scale player who could perhaps bridge this James-Davis chapter and the inevitable post-James future. Before Spencer Dinwiddie's injury, Los Angeles even inquired about adding Brooklyn's reserve ball handler in exchange for Kuzma.

"I think they've been trying to move Kuzma for a long time," added another assistant general manager. "His defense has always been questionable, and I think his early success has become a bit of fool's gold."

Kuzma is among the glut of big men behind James and Davis on the Lakers' depth chart—a group that will be tested should Davis miss further time against Phoenix."
