he's not going to put this offensive performance on his resume. then again, how many of our guys are?
hes worth his contract but its time to upgrade, kcp/kuz salary combined can bring back a semi star somewhere
who? if everyone here wants to ship someone out, why would other teams give up a semi-star for him? we could probably get harrison barnes or something for kcp/kuz, but we'd be downgrading and everyone would be clamoring to trade him next. how about we just see if our stars can be healthy for next year's playoffs (this is the actual reason we're losing).
His stats looked good yesterday, and he probably had his best game. Just not feeling him lately. . If we're moving him in a lateral trade, no thanks. It has to make sense, but I do want him gone.
This. I have no problem packaging guys for a potential all star, but why would another team do it? Our guys have all tanked their value the last couple weeks and it’s not like we have a ton of picks to offer. I’m mentally prepared for this team to mostly run it back and see if there’s a move to be made during the season once our role players regain some value.
I honestly feel like if all the role players had matched Kuz’s effort last night it would have at least been competitive last night.
I honestly feel if Kuz would have played like that every game the series could have been different. See what I did there? He's been bad for the most part. What people don't get is he isn't a good enough three point shooter on a consistent basis. We need defenders and floor spacers that play on a high level. And while he has improved, he he just doesn't do those things well enough and often enough for me. I wouldn't move him unless it's for an impact piece, though.
i think kuz had a good year and not a good playoff series. same with kcp, even before he got hurt. it happens. overreacting is bad. remember when we dumped horry after his horrific playoff shooting and then he delivered clutch shots for two more title teams that weren't us? the only guys i really would prefer not to see again are drummond and schroder, and i could be convinced to give either another shot under the right circumstances.
Kuz started to wake up on offense last night, but how, at 6'8" and supposedly a PF do you grab ONE rebound only?
I get what you’re saying and for the most part agree. He’s not untouchable but I’m not in a rush to trade him either. I think he’s been up and down like the rest of the team but still can help us.
This is pretty much where I’m at with it. Naturally, I’m fine with good deals but think we should be cautious about a fire sale especially under these circumstances.
Can’t argue that. I don’t think he had a great game by any means but he seemed to at least not be completely shook out there.
I'm not overreacting. He's been made some strides, but I'd consider moving him in the right deal. It would probably be better for him and us if it's the right move.
I don’t think most here are at the “ship his a** out” point. He’s had an overall good season and has tried to fit in. This playoff series has been a real disappointment though but that can be said for a lot of our guys. If an upgrade trade can be made this summer using using his salary and/or others, Rob needs to explore it. We need more consistency next year.
he averaged 12/6 on 44/36/70 splits and played pretty good defense. that's good production at his price point. obviously, if someone wants to help us upgrade, we're listening, but i've yet to see a realistic scenario. i just see "done with this guy". to me, that means: get rid of him at any cost. same goes for everyone being bagged on right now. it's basically the offseason, so show me the hypothetical move that satisfies you. personally, i'd be fine bringing everyone but drummond back and replacing him with whatever journeyman veteran wants to back up gasol during the regular season. i'd also listen if we could upgrade, too.
i'm not even all the way there. i'd prefer not to have him back, but if we could snag a useful 20mpg guard in a s&t with him, i'm pulling the trigger on that before just letting him walk. he was good at times this year. i'd add that i'd only have him back if he agreed to be open to being a sixth man again.
What about packaging him and another piece for a Brogdon? Brogdon is $20 million a year. Or even Rozier? We need guard help. We can land another wing in the draft.
