His d and help in transition are great. His offense is not, especially when he puts the ball on the floor or tries lobs, entry passes, or assists in tight spaces. Saw a lot of turnovers this year. If he sticks to catch and shoot, he will be fine. One of them won’t play much in the playoffs - Wes, THT, Ben. First off the bench will be Alex, Kuz, Trez. Not sure when Kief, Marc, Wes, and THT will play. Makes no sense to try an 11 or 12 man rotation in playoff games. Small ball lineups will favor Kief and Wes though. THT will get limited minutes, I think - his mediocre defense and Js are problems with AD and Bron and Dennis getting big minutes.
This is why he's here. MUST leave him in the second half rotation throughout. Just makes the smart play on both sides of the court.
That was a very loud performance for someone who scored 3 points. Had a +/- of +17 in 14 minutes, great defense, savvy plays to draw some fouls. Very encouraging stuff.
Wes just has the veteran presence and tricks to get away with stuff that they won't allow a guy like THT get away with. +17 in a 3 point win lol
Very happy for Wes. From being benched most of the year to flourishing in the most important game of the season yesterday... wow. His energy, hustle, and professionalism were a welcome sight.
Great to see that professionalism and keeping himself ready when he buried his first 3 early on. Props. Turn Gasol lose too, don’t have to start him if that’s the directive from what Rob promised, but play the effective hand early and reward it with minutes. I don’t get the sense at all that Dre would mope about it or cause problems, as he wants to be part of winning the biggest prize.
Said multiple times before the start of the season the following starting 5 was our best , I still feel the same KCP Wes Bron AD Marc Wes just makes winning plays regardless of his shooting , he's like an older Caruso
Need to substitute AC for Marc in that above lineup in crunch time, like has probably already happened all game to Marc anyway?
From what I saw, some excellent defense on Booker and 2 big threes in the 4th, so glad we have him fresh for the playoffs.
I’m a fan of Wes so it’s been great to see him playing well given the opportunity. We may need to see even more of him if KCP’s injury lingers.
will be tougher for him if kcp's out--kcp's done a good job really making booker work, and that takes a lot of energy. wes isn't quite quick enough to bother booker in that same way, so phx could take advantage if we have to go to that for long stretches. in short burts, he's got it, though.
