But not even an attaboy for last night with 24? One of our most improved players on a team friendly contract, continually bounced around in his role off the bench or as a starter.

Anyone else forget that Kidd is on the staff when you don't see him on the bench? Don't hear a peep out of him. The recent bit about DS getting advice on being aggressive was one of the only things I recall seeing about him this season. Completely different from what I expected. Thought he'd be trying to boost his profile and/ or undermine Vogel.

Why didn't he play AD at the 5 till the end of the games?

I know he's got a track record of getting vets like KCP and Rondo and getting them out of slumps bit all these AD squared minutes are just so brutal to watch

Frank's X's and O's are really bad at the offensive end.

    He needs an offensive coordinator.

His subs and rotations can be costly, too.

    That said:

Defensively, the man is superb. .

His communication skills are top-notch, too.

Above all that, he's a quality person.

    Glad he's here.

I will always go to bat to defend Vogel, but if we had lost tonight it was going to be on him. Felt like he was consistently too late in making the obvious moves. And that mismanagement ended up putting a lot of minutes on AD and Bron. Was worried AD was going to be too gassed down the stretch

Hope he learns from this. I’m not going to overreact like some of the posts saying we shouldn’t play Drummond or Schröder at all, but he needs to know when to count his losses and go with a different look when the matchup is clearly not in their favor.

What was the last time fans of any team in an sport were happy with the sub patterns of the coach?

Luke sucked...Phil sucked...Potatoe Head (Mike Brown) did too...Byron Scott: check, Pringles: check...

Fans are never happy with subs...ever.

why would portland fire stotts? because he keeps winning more than he should with a pretty blah roster?

he does. kidd was bad in both of his head coaching stops, tbh.

as for frank...he's in a tough spot concerning drummond, i think. his stars and management are telling him to make it work, but it obviously doesn't. if the lakers get down 2 games in a series, i think you'll see lebron ok the drummond shutdown.

Don’t overthink it Frank, Schröder isn’t that guy, AC is.

That double at the top of the key with AD + AC on Steph ... was pure joy.

Kendrick Perkins nailed it post game: great rotations down the stretch keeping AC in And replacing DS with Wes.

Yes he should credit for the late game adjustments and dumping McClemore completely out of the rotation

My issue though remains with the gameplanning.
I won't rehash the Drummond starting and no Gasol as I don't want to pull out any more hair but here's another example

We know for example AC morphs into a Robery Horry GOAT level roleplayer when he plays with Lebron and we also know he's better as a secondary guard. Then why when Lebron sits with AD at the 5 in the first half, do you run a lineup with AC and KCP and neither DS or THT. That made no sense predictably GS just ganged up every time that AD had the ball and the lakers had no guy out there capable of attacking the rim. Just bled out more points that lineup.
