yeah, just like how he made sure to sink a 3 before he left the hawks game after he hurt his ankle to keep his 10+ pt streak going

Would be a miracle if his ankle hold up during the entire playoffs run ...

This. I think people underestimate the value of getting your rhythm within the normal rotation. Coming back from injury, if Lebron doesn’t come back in these 4th quarters, then that’s a potential conditioning challenge for him to face in the play-in. We looked pretty bad in the 4th against the Pacers. Needed to get that out of the system before the games that count.

That ankle turn was cringey for me. Just why take the risk of having him out there at all at that point? They knew the score of the Portland game. The outcome of this one was completely meaningless by then. I really wish it hadn't happened. The MOST important thing was not getting hurt last night. If this sets him back or causes discomfort to linger for the playoffs they will very much wish they had kept him out instead. Ugh. Shouldn't even be a possible issue right now.

It's a tough one. He plays and risks injury. He sits and he's missing out reps with teammates with some desperately needed chemistry (especially since we don't get the week off) and some much needed conditioning reps.

Understood, JSM. I wanted him to start and play the game no doubt. I'm glad he did. But by midway in the fourth quarter when the injury happened he should have been on the bench for good. The game didn't matter any longer, and he had already gotten plenty of reps in.

None of our top players should ever jump when amongst other players. The game is an injury crap shoot every minute it’s played. But hell yeah LeBron and AD both need to stop falling on the floor and grabbing their ankles and calf muscles.

This is why Bron was playing late in the 4th quarter.

Meh: I'm obviously a big fan of Lebron but Solomon Hill isn't a dirty player and he was going for the ball. Obviously wish he didn't get hurt and that Hill didn't try to go for a loose ball whole hog but it was a freak accident: it happens

I agree, but sort of still **** him though. The Lebron was having a MVP season up until that point and we were comfortably in the middle of the playoff standings.
