One of our team first Lakers beat writers or SSN crew needs to ask Dre if he’s willing or OK with (not being in the game) per coaching adjustments needed each game. As have Wes and Marc comitted to. Put him on the spot in a subtle way and see what his answer is and how sincere it sounds. Maybe he’s honestly willing and no need to be walking on egg shells over it .... team player. If not, screw it, do it anyway.
stop playing Trez at Center, it didnt work for the clips and it wont work here, I am on the same boat as everyone with Trez/Gasol combo off the bench, I just cant understand Vogel not even trying that pairing
What does playing Trez at center have to do with the Kuzma thread? I know Kuz commented on Marc not playing but these thread are getting confusing. AD stuff in the Bron thread, Trez stuff in the Kuz. etc.
Kuz lobbying for more PT for Gasol, only way to do so w/o limiting Trez mins is to play them together
Kuzma needs to focus on his own game and talk less. He is still wildly inconsistent, on the court. I'm not sure who designated him as the team's official spokesman lately. I think all the guys are chirping a bit much...AD included..let your game do the talking. At least Gasol was being a pro about it by saying that winning is more important than who is getting minutes.
This is not just a reaction to tonight, it’s something I’ve been thinking for a while: I don’t know if I’ve ever been less confident in one of our player’s jump shots. Of course he’ll occasionally get in rhythm and make some shots, but his misses are some of the ugliest bricks. You can tell right away they have no shot at going in.
Kuzma is one of the most overrated Lakers fan favorites that I can think of...Caruso at least brings it on defense.
he's gone away from doing all the little things and less focused on scoring, unfortunate he cant seem to recognize when hes off and needs to do something else on offense
We need the old Kuzma back from earlier this year. The guy who did all the little things and was blocking shots left and right.
*sigh* We were praising Kuz for finally putting it all together only weeks ago, his effort, defense, and passing had been excellent. Players get tired, they get mental fatigue, they go through slumps, it doesn’t mean their god damn career is over and they’re never gonna figure it out. Man I’m ashamed of this place lately, SMDH
If it's not your night, accept it and find other ways to contribute. Shooters shoot, but he's not a shooter. It was clear by the 3rd, 4th miss that it just wasn't going to happen for him. At that moment, pull a KCP and start driving. Get after the boards, the 50/50 balls, play D. Be the Mr. Intangibles player who he's shown he can be. We couldn't afford for him to play dumb and he most certainly played the hell out of that part last night. My issue is when skill and capability don't line up with effort and decision making. We would've been in a much better position if he would've taken the night off, gone clothes shopping and us give Wes all his minutes last night.
Tired of him. He will never be more then a spot starter at best. By now, we know what we have in him.
hmmm...must have had a rough game. i think he's been one of our best players this year, and he outplays his contract. so i guess that's good news for those that want to ship him--i'm certain teams will take him.
