Apparently his toenail came off! What a freak injury, no clue what the expected recovery is for that

*sigh* We managed to avoid the injury bug last season, it’s part of how we made it all the way to the end. This season, not so much, and it’s starting to take its toll. We’re like 6 games in the loss column from the 9th spot, this is gonna get very dicey.

Takes a good 1-2 weeks for the skin to harden like a toenail. Might have some secrets to expedite the process, not sure.

I’ve had 6 toenails missing at once before. (Running shoe issue with wide feet, etc)

the skin gets really hard just like a nail, won’t take long

yeah, that doesn't sound like an injury he'll be able to play through

this season's just cursed in regards to injuries

If toe’s not structurally damaged maybe some kind of topical pain solution and creative protection.

Clearly a dirty play by Brook who’s still bitter about getting let go by Magic.

he looked out of shape, but it didn't help that he was left to defend giannis 1 on 1

vogel should've adjusted to prevent that

I've had this happen in a game before. He can play next game.

Weird fact: the toe nail grows back and then falls off again. Don't ask me why. Just does.

Yeah, he shouldn't miss any game time. I was 19... maybe 20, had something extremely heavy fall on my toe. Toe was black and blue and I lost the nail. It was uncomfortable and felt a little weird, but didn't interfere with work, sports, or day to day life.

I've never been 280 pounds. I'm not running, jumping, making hard cuts, stopping on a dime. But I also I don't have a world class team medical staff at my disposal. Wrap it, get thick socks, and better shoes and he should be able to start in the next game.

I liked his energy and the early block, but then he got injured because that’s our luck. At least this is day to day and he will need few games to get in shape anyway. But he’ll be a factor for us, that’s for sure.

Yeah the injury is unfortunate and of course it would have been nice to see him have a more significant debut. But even just in that first quarter, I saw enough to be excited. Nothing crazy, but you could already see that his size gave us an interior presence that we didn’t have before. Which is really all we need.

I also didn’t mind putting him on Giannis. Probably not something we want to rely on, as he would mostly get toasted by Giannis. But again, it’s an option we didn’t have before. You know Giannis isn’t going to look to shoot first, so having a mobile big with size to sag off him is actually somewhat viable.
