I think it can't understated that Drummond has played on nothing but terrible teams. This is the first time he's going to play with a roster with construction, legit staff, expectations from stars like Davis and LeBron. Can't wait to see what he brings to the table.
The Lakers suck at shooting...and they weren't great last year either. But we owned the paint. We had a lot of long, tall, athletic and mean guys down low... Drummond gives is the edge back on that front. We still can't shoot but at least we own the paint and get rebounds. Very huge pick up. We are back to being "intimidating".
BTW I have no idea if its karma or what the case is... We ALWAYS end up with players that can't hit FTs...its amazing to me.
The "positive" thing is Vogel will be able to experiment things with Drummond during the next 7-8 games before AD should be back. All these games should be losses so the experimentation isn't going to cost us much
what does jokic shoot from the line now? arvydas sabonis? yao was super strong and shot 80% from the line. but anyway, yeah, we attract them.
Rob hit a home run here .... the exact missing piece for what the team had last year .... and lost .... on steroids! Bigger and younger and if we have health with LeBron and AD1, look the hell out. We have an excellent shot to repeat now. Not even knowing who else he may also bring in before the deadline. AD2 to the Lakers >>>> what other teams did toward helping win the championship IMO.
