This is an opportunity to show his leadership in a non-playing role. I felt like that was one of the weak parts of the Kobe years. When he was hurt, it seem like he was just absent and focused on rehab.

This is really a great time to give some of our young talent extended minutes and for him to be in their ears teaching the game.

If AD and Bron are not there for the next month I think we can still cling onto at least the 6 seed. There's still a lot of talent on this team. They dont have to adjust to Lebron and AD, they can just play their game freely

eh, there's certainly talent, but a) they haven't had any chance to play in the roles they'd have to assume and b) even if they did, this isn't a playoff team without lebron and AD. let's scrape out 4-5 wins in the next 15 games and hope that's enough time to get the horses back.

For those who haven't seen this, this Dr. who seems to specialize in sports medicine is giving us pretty good news, big picture-wise.

I watched it earlier today and was planning to post it here. It provides a much more positive outlook than a nything I've seen around here since the injury. If Bron could be back in a couple of weeks with no long-term damage, I'm not worried at all. Looking at the bright side - he gets some rest in the meantime and the rest of the team can show what they're made of without our two stars.

Yes very much a better outlook on it. In my experience I don’t think anyone can be sure until they see what comes up on the MRI. Hopefully all is clean on the talis dome and there is no cartilage damage/Avulsion fracture. If it really is only a ligament sprain things should be a whole lot easier.

Glad he's with the team for morale purposes but that does cut into his treatment time and limits his treatment options a little. But he clearly knows his body and I trust his decisions, there's a reason he's still playing some of the best ball in his career.

Hopefully we can keep our heads above water for what seems like it'll be 8-12 games.

    We'll be 30-27 if/when Bron returns after a 15 games absence .

Frank not being an offense type of coach is going to add to the difficulty .

It's not like we can expect wins by catching fire from 3s either , we can't shoot .

Against Magic , Cavs , at Kings and at Hornets with Lamelo out are the only games we have a shot .

even really bad teams have to win sometimes, which means they have to occasionally beat much better teams.

but if we're as bad as everyone says without lebron, then does he get the mvp? because it seems like harden's case is being made by houston (which was poor management more than anything, thanks daryl morey) losing a billion games as much or moreso than bkn winning.

Well , to your delight I think Harden is going to win MVP this season with BK ... with Bron being out and Embiid missing too many games .

Lebron will be back in a few weeks. Don't see what the big deal is.

Still waiting for MRI result would be one thing. Avulsion fracture is a thing right? Though with super soldier serum .... errr ... training unlikely. ;) Hopefully.

every other player gets dinged in the mvp race for having superstar teammates. why not harden? same reason his offensive fouls put him on the ft line?

still think chris paul should be in the lead. he's basically the only difference between phx being junk and being in 2nd place.

Has lebron even completed the MRI yet? Or is it scheduled today or something? Wondering why there’s no news on the actual date of this imaging..?

And Harden the a-hole ran him out of Houston rather than be accountable and play the game the right way, including defense and not pounding the ball so much (I would imagine). Didn't like hearing about it.

yep. he was the difference between houston being a s***tier portland and nearly beating GS, too. i know folks hate him--and he has serious injury concerns--but he's a baller.

did i mention i'm still mad at stern's corpse for that trade denial?
