You can have a different opinion , it's all good , same for LakersfanIam .

Are there any numbers saying we are getting killed in the paint ?

Ok , we are dominating when rushing the opponent off the 3pt line , defending the 3 and made a huge improvment in conceding less FTs though

Honestly, those numbers are way better than I thought. I have seen some videos that were claiming we were giving up over 60 points per game in the paint. They may have made that with situational adjustments which likely are not really fair. Hmmmm, our numbers are remarkedly similar to last years.

He's not good at 3pt closeouts and not smart about them yet.
Trent Jr killed him earlier this year from 3
This game he helped on Mason Plumlee of all people trying to post up AD and left a red hot Josh Jackson open from 3

that's mostly what i've been saying except this part:

i didn't realize the lakers had the option of structuring the pay either way--that must be new in this cba? i always thought it had to be honored as signed, hence the poison pill moniker. honestly, the lakers probably would prefer the poison pill, as it gives them wiggle room during lebron's last years.

Yeah, I just think we should enjoy the luxury for this year of having KCP, Shroder, Caruso and THT all on the team in rotation. With still very decent - good Wes Matthews. I don't see how we keep all of those 1st four guys much as we would like to. Either Alex or Dennis or KCP has to be gone. If I had to pick I would say KCP. But he can't just be gone without player(s) and salary coming back in. Going to have to be AC or Dennis. Talen could play point next year it seems? Guess we will find out soon enough with the deadline to extend Dennis coming up. Am afraid AC will be odd man out because he certainly deserves his first nice salary raise from some team if we can't give it to him.

I know as a hockey fan, it takes much longer to develop a defenseman than a forward in the NHL. Other than the effort aspect, is this the same for basketball? I've read that he can get lost on D sometimes.

(I'm actually ashamed I don't know more about that, since I love good, defensive basketball)

Personally, I haven't fully figured out THT's game. But I already think he is an elite-level finisher. Or his game at least projects this way. You can't teach height, and his arms are 7 feet tall. He's like a guard version of a unicorn.

One of those games where he looked like a rookie. A very talented one mind you but there were 1 to 2 mental errors for every woah possession and little in between very good to bad

Yeah, he makes some boneheaded plays at times which is expected. He's still only 20 years old, Jesus Christ. Kawhi came into the league at THT's age. No one expected Kawhi to be the player he is today. I wouldn't compare THT to Kawhi but he's got a lot of time to continue developing, make mistakes, and be a very great player down the line.

AC and AD returned and Wes has been playing well. Given how deep we are at the position, some DNPs here and there are no big deal. I want to see him play too, but he’s only 20 so we can be patient.

Has great handles on the floor...missed a posterizing slam. Then again, so did our 36 year old superstar.
