Harden is a beast when he wants
Just shocking change of behaviour. The team was paying 40M for him to decide not to care.

I would do Kuz+Kieff for Dinwiddie+Green. The Nets would do it

The man gave birth, took the pillow out from under his warmups, and became bulimic before going to Brooklyn

So sorry to hear you lost your grandfather to this, just wanted to say that. My sister just had it and finished her quarantine a few days ago but she still can’t really smell or taste, I’ve been fortunate enough to avoid it so far. It’s no joke, even if the recovery rate is high, it’s no joke, lasting effects.

I’m really angry that this Nets team was allowed to form. I thought we’d gotten past this type of team with the end of the Durant Warriors and the league had gone back to star duos, created a little more parity. But no, here we are again, Durant yet again on a legit superteam, the idiot GMs and owners of the league helping it happen and being cool with it as long as it’s not the Lakers. Now 36 year old, 18 year in LeBron has to likely take his team through another superteam of 3 top 12-15 players in their primes if we want to win the title again, thanks a lot, Houston. For years I’ve had to root for Durant to stop the evil that is James Harden’s style of basketball from being rewarded with a title, now he’s got him on his team. And I thought 2020 was as bad as it could get, ha.

It will take a great team to beat them. It’s a huge sign of respect that they thought it was necessary to have a chance against us in the Finals.

I'm going with the positive spin. We put together a super team, but it's more with depth. We'll see which is the better approach in the end.

A superteam by my definition contains at least 3 current all-star players, some have even had 4. We have 2, there were by my definition no superteams remaining in the league before this move, just many great and really good teams. If LeBron or AD have a bad night we are immediately at a disadvantage against a team within Durant, Harden, and Irving. 2 of those are franchise players and the other is borderline only because of his personality, he’s at worst a top 12-20 player. It would be like if we added Bradley Beal and all we had to trade was say Kuz and Harrell, only Irving has won a Finals before and hit a clutch 3 that essentially sealed it. It throws the balance of the league off yet again, it’s a weak move, and I remain annoyed that the Rockets gave in to exactly what Harden wanted. As soon as he got to Brooklyn he started trying again, and his lack of caring is why he got what he wanted as well, as no team would trade for a grumpy Harden that wasn’t going to even try.

Not scared. They won't make it to the Finals. My money is on Miami once more.

Miami was "build for the bubble". They're not making it back to the Finals.

agree with weezy: bkn is likely to make the finals, and they could beat us. and it would be sort of annoying because had it been us, it would have been blocked.

that said, it's easier to root for the lakers, so that's good. also, i think bkn is vulnerable defensively. so they can be beaten, but you have to really execute your offense.

I'm not sure they get there. They look great with the duo, but as Chuck said they're the (3) Dribble Brothers. I don't see Kyrie or Harden willing to sacrifice touches for the team. And when those 3 are all playing, you're getting nothing from Harris, Green, or Jordan in terms of touches.

I think the Bucks and C Bags (they probably need 1 more rotational piece) match up with both of them very well. Bucks would've won last night had they decided to engage Giannis into any of the action on either side in the final minutes. In the playoffs he's guarding someone other than Harris. But both have 3 wing guys who can defend. I think both can defend two of them enough to make it a 1 man show. Then it's just a matter of whether that 1 man show can win 4. I don't think it can.

They’ll be there. Durant is a winner, Harden, as much as I can’t stand his game, is now free to just play and is already racking up assists, and even IF Kyrie doesn’t fit in they’re still a favorite. Every year the Bucks lose because Giannis can’t shoot, and if you can’t shoot you can’t close playoff games. Durant has closed playoff games, he’s hit huge shots in LeBron’s face, now that he’s back in game shape he’s that same guy. It will be Nets/Lakers in the Finals, or possibly even Nets/Clippers because so far it’s been a terrible year and why should that change now.

Harden is an underrated playmaker. I would make Irving come off the bench or tell him to f*** off or just trade his a**.
