Denver Nuggets really miss Torrey Craig and Jerami Grant. Nuggets about to be 1-4 after losing to the Suns
letting craig walk for the min was weird, imo. he was your starter last year on a team that won a bunch of games. to tie this with the other thread: what if you paid grant and moved MPJ for picks and a useful vet? are you worse off? do you really feel like MPJ was going to be a star? i guess the answer is yes, and they see him every day and should know better than i do. but grant and craig had proven they could help you win games and fit with your two established young cornerstones.
Looks like the NBA sent a memo out tho the refs to start pushing Trae Young as the next up and coming star. He’s getting the Harden breath on me and its a foul treatment
haven't watched, but it's not surprising. the league has clearly chosen guys to officiate differently over the years. wade in miami, nash for the first couple years in phx (he was bullied in dallas constantly), harden (obviously). i don't think it's random. it's a dangerous game for young to live on drawing contact, though--most people who do that are big and strong. that dude's like, my size.
I don't like it, but it's not as absurd as Harden going to the basket with zero inclination of making a basketball move and getting rewarded with FTs. Trae is definitely taking advantage of how they don't let you touch players on the perimeter though. He'll slow up his drive and let you run into him. But with his frame, someone like Zion, Randle, Bron, Trez, etc. fouls him like that, it's going to hurt. That's how to put an end to that.
It's a great move, IMHO. He is going to get that call every time and he is not flopping, he is just using his speed to get in front and then his quickness to stop and release. Most bigger, slower guys are going to fall for it every single time. If he can keep them from getting injured it would be better.
According to Windy, an expansion could fix the debt issue, resulting in the ball park of $160m in added revenue per team. If we add a team in Vegas and Seattle, then you can finally move Minny and NO to the East where they belong.
Liking the idea of a Vegas team, as for the Seattle one though I'd rather have the tenants move their carcasses there instead and probably have another NBA team in Canada again, perhaps Vancouver. In addition, the number of teams will now be 32 (a perfect number if you ask me) where there can be 4 teams x 4 divisions x 2 conferences, just like in the NFL.
disagree. jsm: you think he's intending to take and make those shots? i don't. that's the old mark price move except instead of doing it in the back court against ball pressure, he's doing it off the high screen. i'm supposed to believe that his intention was negate his advantage by pulling up from 18 feet? garbage. i'd be pissed if i were the opposing team, and i might run through him a few times.
If he doesn't get the call, then yes, I think he'll put the ball up. Whereas Harden, well... can't really say the next time he doesn't get a call will be the first. And I believe there will be fewer calls on a debatable jumper attempt than a line drive to the rim. If you're not impeding the landing of a shooter, they will always make more calls at the rim than on at jump shot.
bummer. i was starting to like watching him play and was glad to see he was overcoming those mental blocks. hope it's not a season-ender.
Oh man that sucks for Fultz. After all he went through that has to be crushing. A lot like Cousins with his 3 big injuries one after the other right before he was going to get a huge contract. Too bad!!
