You could say that every year though, way too vague a location.

I’m also a Raiders fan, so I actually burned myself. Gotta have self awareness though.

He played a bad game? He was averaging 21.5 points 5 assists, and 3.5 rebounds, while shooting 41% from the arc in the first two games of the season.

I meant the general trajectory of his career. This is 3rd team in 3 years and isn't exactly living up to the all star potential expected of him as a No. 2 pick.

I don't know if it's fair to take the 3 teams in 3 years thing as an indictment on his career. He literally was an all-star in Brooklyn two years ago. Then Durant and Kyrie wanted to team up in Brooklyn. Of course they weren't going to turn that down, so DLo was the odd man out. When the Warriors got him, it was clear from the beginning that they just wanted to get an asset back for Durant, and they would probably try to flip him. Then he finally gets to Minnesota, and the season gets stopped a few weeks later.

I wouldn't expect him to make another all star team in the West, but I don't really see a problem with the trajectory of his career. If things don't work out in Minnesota and they end up dumping him, then yeah that's a big red flag. But if he's able to develop some chemistry with KAT and they're consistently in playoff contention the next several years with DLo putting up similar number as he has been, that's a solid enough career IMO.

Part of the "third team" thing is totally fair. I personally like the players who go to a team and stay there for their careers. And to downplay the team changes might be unfair - as DAR was essentially run out of LA by Magic. He may have warranted that treatment. I'll leave that discussion for another time. But in Brooklyn, he clearly stepped up his game. I think Brooklyn made two mistakes - ditching Russ and ditching their coach. But they have Kyrie and Durant, so it's hard to blame them. If your team could get two All-NBA players, wouldn't you do it? The Lakers did it, the Nets did it. Golden State was a rental, because Minnesota wanted him but couldn't get the finances at the time. Golden State was probably bad for Russ - that team sucked and it essentially took half a season away from him building rapport with KAT. And only once has he been part of a winner.

    So, I get the complaints.

That said, Russ hasn't exactly underperformed for a #2 pick. Among his draft class, he's 5th in minutes played, 3rd in points, 1st in assists, and 7th in VORP. And he's one of only four players in the class to make an ASG.

Do you play Star Wars Squadrons? Someone named Helljumper57 or something like that killed me repeatedly in my first ever multiplayer game.

Naw, neither play the game or currently go by Helljumper on gaming services ... but coincidentally just last week my brother was trying to convince me to play Squadrons AND I independently was contemplating changing my gamertag to something involving Helljumper as I just started playing Halo again for the first time in years :D

D'Lo only made the (L)eastern Conference all star team as an injury replacement. I don't think many teams with playoff aspirations would want him as someone to invest and develop
