So, obviously we don't need this guy Davis to win games. Think we could flip him for James Harden?

And tonight, we won't need LeBron. I say trade him as well

No. Trade Davis for Ingram, Ball, Hart and first rounders for the three (?) seasons... Can never have enough depth.

Is Bron's left ankle the same one he sprained earlier? Can't believe all the years I played from grade school and HS and pickup games in college I never stepped on someone's foot and rolled an ankle. Know what it feels like though. Sixth grade running across a friend's lawn and stepped in a sprinkler hole. Cost me 4 or 5 games in little league that summer. Was a puss. :giggle:

Same one he already sprained. I think he should sit tonight. No reason at all to risk anything health wise right now.

Played 38 minutes and only took 14 shots to score 13 points against 6'7 Robert Covington, has to be more aggressive.

I agree but it looked like the Blazers were playing a big guarding the dunker position so the hard double could come with size.
This was the whole problem with Harell as he couldn't pull the weak side big (in this case Nurkic) out of the paint.

The Lakers could have moved AD out further and let him just shoot over Covington facing up but they got baited with the size differential. Really bizarre coaching from Vogel: thought Gasol was great tonight and they could have just stuck him at the top of the key and that would have totally blown up the Blazer D. On the whole though I just don't see how you can maximize AD and Lebron in a closing lineup with Harell.

Agree . Vogel said he's using these games to test things though

Way rusty and passive tonight. Not a good look after a game off.

Feels like just yesterday that AD had a weak game against the Blazers to start the playoffs and the fanbase collectively overreacted worrying that he was soft. And then he dominated the rest of the postseason en route to a championship. Good times.

    He’ll be fine.

Good to see this acknowledgement coming from AD today. To me, the game basically was decided by this. AD came up way short and was way too passive. Having your lead scorer on the team put up half of the points that he averages pretty much doomed us. And while being guarded by a guy who is 5 inches shorter. Should never happen. Those thirteen points we were missing would have won the game.

The lack of offense was a little concerning, but he was kind of forcing it, Vogel is right that they didn’t put him in the best spots. What’s more baffling to me is this

AD hasn’t blocked a shot yet. Gasol had 2 last night, Kuz has 4 in the last 2 games. I’m not overly concerned when AD doesn’t score a lot, we have lots of scorers on this team, but we need him to play like the DPOY for him to be most effective. Our rim protection was absolute garbage last night, especially when Harrell and Morris were together out there, but when Vogel changed that to Harrell and AD the next time I expected that to change things. When it didn’t, that was very disappointing.
