Kids are going to do dumb stuff. Hopefully someone in that family is setting these kids up with financial planning, otherwise they are going to blow through their money. I don’t mean the “financial guy” with BBB that stole Zo’s money either,

all of them forgot the most important thing:

Be great at what you do, and the endorsement stuff will follow. They have been worried more about the other stuff from Day 1. Worse focus than Kuzma.

At least Lonzo gave up the European concert tour.

Lamelo with 0 points, 10 rebounds, and 4 assists in 16 minutes in his pre-season debut. Didn’t see the actual game, but each of those 4 assists were pretty spectacular highlights.

10 rebounds in 6 minutes? That’s the way the ball bounces sometimes.

but I’m more curious about LiAngelo. If he can carve out a niche in the league, it would inspire YMCA ballers everywhere

Saw that. Feel a lot of empathy for this brother as he'll maybe have issues through life not being in the same stratosphere as his brothers as an athlete and "celebrity". The latter of course important to all the men in the family. LaVar did him especially no favors yanking him from a full scholarship at UCLA.

Oops, yeah my bad, Lamelo put up 10 rebounds in 16 minutes, not 6 lol. Corrected.

Interesting take from Lavar on Lebron. It’s like he worded that response to defend Lonzo, but avoid calling out Lebron or the Lakers. Basically just blamed everything on Luke. He might really feel that way, but wondering if also he’s trying to be careful not to avoid burning bridges with the Lakers for the chance of a Lonzo reunion one day. There’s also the aspect that of course he’s not going to attack Papa Klutch now that Lonzo is there too.

Practice fodder and a quick peak at him, though practice fodder not really a thing this year?

yes, lavar, nobody has ever thought of such a thing before you.

surprise presses in short bursts can work, but it's not athleticism (as durant says) but skill that prevents it. you can't just double the pg like it's high school. two guys will make good decisions that result in a dunk once they've seen your press a couple times.

Lavar Ball on LaMelo Ball bench role:

“My thing is he ain’t happy with that, but he ain’t go show that,” the elder Ball told TMZ. “If I train you to be the best and always been starting all your life — here is what they don’t get. My boys are not freakin’ role players! They superstars! Let them do what they do!”

He's the equivalent of a stage parent/manager in the entertainment industry. The less ballyhooed Holiday boys will end up with more stable albeit less flashy careers.
