could be. my one issue with cousins when he came out was that he wasn't in shape. i was like: you're 20 years old and all you have to do is play basketball and not eat terribly. people are ready to hand you tens of millions of dollars if you can exercise just a bit of restraint. cousins never really did--though he's looked slimmer of late. good for THT to get the lesson early.
THT looks good enough to start, but now I'm hoping that Vogel pairs him and AC on the 2nd unit. Those two can be a devastating bench punch with Trez and Kuz, and I'd like to pair them for the future as much as the present.
I've watched a lot of basketball since 1980 (when I became a fan... Magic/Bird). If this kid continues his dedication to the game... he's going to be VERY special. He's got some insane physical tools, and a very good feel for the game. I may not start him, at the beginning of the season... but, he keeps this up... he'd be my starter by mid season. He's got PG/SG talent.
WOW. Another dominating performance by THT. Preseason or not, this dude just knows how to play basketball. Suns tried triple-teaming to force a turnover with 20 seconds left and THT stayed calm and didn't turn it over. For a 20 year old, that is very impressive. If this kid gets an opportunity on a struggling team, he would be a 20/6/5 player with very good defense in the near future.
Grown man move. Like I said in the preseason thread, want him to look to pass a bit more on his drives, he's needs to be less predictable for the defense. But he's still looking strong this pre-season.
Give THT Keef's mins! 1st unit Dennis KCP Lebron AD Gasol 2nd unit THT Caruso Wes Kuzma Trez Keef as insurance if any big gets injured
He's not afraid of attacking the paint and drawing contact at all. 230 lbs of weight with his momentum, very few wings will be able to stay in front of THT and only guys like Gobert with huge length can stop him in the paint.
Lakers would be stupid to let him go. I've liked Kuzma since his rookie year... but I'd let him go, before THT.
Oh snap, he has a midrange game? I really like the idea of the ball out of Lebron’s hands. If Lebron is on the move, can he be stopped? poor Vogel some serious potential rotation issues. They usually work themselves out, but wow he has some great choices for lineups
Wes Matthews is having a lot of trouble finishing: could be the guy Vogel decides to stash and save his legs for the playoffs. Basically THT looks to be too good not to be able to find minutes for.
