Wow. I knew it was bad, but that's definitely worse than I thought. Really shows the level of competition Kobe faced too.

I can't imagine what Kobe would have done to the competition the Kang is playing and has played. Prime Kobe vs. the C Bags and crappy Hawks this year? Dear Lord....

This article just pisses me off. This is nothing more than an excuse article and a way to bump Lebron up when the Cavs are losing. Two statements really ticked me off....

Stuff legends are made of? The guy literally didn't give two s**** in the beginning of the season, pouted, played no defense, took 2 weeks off to roid up and took little jabs at Love and the coach. He gave up before it started and only started turning it on after trades were made. And to "Stomp top seeded Atlanta" just tells me this dude who wrote this piece watched ZERO basketball the last month of the season and playoffs. Atlanta was nothing more than a .500 team that struggled to beat a sub.500 Nets team and a one hand John Wall squad. There only "legendary" series win was Chicago, but let's be honest the Bulls don't make it out of the 1st round of the West, Pau gets hurt misses games, Taj gets unjustly thrown out another, it's not "legendary" by any means. No team besides CLE does s*** in the West. I would take our current team + Prime Kobe over any team in the East this year (Sans CLE). That's how bad the East is and how laughable this article is.

WAHHH WAHHH WAHH cry me a got damn river with these excuses.

Miami lost to Dallas because of chemistry issues? Really, I seem to remember the Kang absolutely flat out quitting on the team in multiple games. But hey it's Lebron, let's blame his teammates. Lose to the Spurs it doesn't count? EL OH EL, I don't see Kobe getting those excuses, no one gets those excuses for that matter.

This is only after game 1. The hell with him going ISO and dominating the ball without judgement (Kobe would be getting grilled to a crisp), he missed the game winner, didn't show up in OT. Lebron had the game for the taking and didn't seize the opportunity. Had the last shot of the game and didn't deliver, but let's make excuse pieces bringing up revisionist history of the past and how many titles are on the horizon.

When it's all said and done: 2-4 in the FInals.

Guys like that can make up whatever they want. They can tell me the oral history of every opponent LeBron has ever lost to, but 2-4 in the Finals.

He's getting measured against Jordan, Kobe, Magic, Kareem, Russell, and Bird and he's 2-4 in the Finals after this year.

I think this whole narrative of "carrying the team to the Finals" means absolutely nothing. People always say that about players in the East (Kidd, Iverson, etc.). The East sucks. It means nothing. But that's also why I don't think his Finals record means much either. He's going to be 2-4, but that's no different than maybe being 2-0 if he were in the West.

If people are going to say he carried his team to the Finals, then it's only fair to bring up his record (2-4). If people don't want to bring up his record in the Finals because the East sucks, then he didn't do much "carrying". It has to be one or the other. But the media loves to pick and choose what they want.

Edit: Lol at the title. Who changed it to that?

The article starts off decent, but then the excuses begin.

2007 - I'll let that one slide since he wasn't the best player in the NBA yet. 22 years old leading that team to the finals is a solid accomplishment.

There is NO excuse for 2011 at all - he was LeChoke in that series. I got to include 2010 game 5 against Boston as well even though it wasn't the finals. Seems like that's getting forgotten now, but he quit on that team.

    2012 - he was awesome

He almost choked away the 2013 finals in game 6, but Allen saved his legacy. Props for that game 7 though, he was great.

Last years finals, he would have a great quarter then disappear for long stretches as the Spurs would just blow them out of the building.

So the only pass I would give him is 2007.

On a side note, I do like the way LeBron's playing so far in the playoffs this year. He's no longer obsessed with his FG%, always in attack mode and dominating in the post (a few uncalled offensive fouls).

Lebron James put himself in a no-lose situation with last nights point outburst. He put on a show, who cares about the 38+ shot attempts, that all the writers were blasting twitter with "OMG, best in the world!" No one will care that his team went basically scoreless in the OT with the, as stated before, best player in the world on the floor. Now that Irving is out he can go back to his normal disappearing act and the media will say simply (like the post a few up) his team suffered too many injuries to overcome a fairly healthy Warriors team. If Cavs win then it will be national parade day as the floats start in Cleveland and visit every Pro basketball arena so the Millions of Cavs fans can celebrate the King. Oh it will be grand. Once again, the guy can't lose and his image today will be unchallenged.

I still wonder what it will be after he is gone and the handcuffs will be pulled off the media. It will be grand to see someone argue against all the stats that have been posted over the last few pages plus a ton more.

Carrying a team to the finals has always been about propping a player up in the media. Lebron has been great but if he got so lucky with not only timely injuries to opponents but also out of the blue great play from no-names. Anyone recall Bobbie Gibson? Cavs don't make the finals if that kid didn't go off in the ECFs. What happened in the Finals? No one else played and the Cavs got rolled.

And the thread is mine and thus I be the one who makes the titles :)

The media can pump Lebron all they want. the truth is getting out with players respecting Kobe and saying they would prefer Kobe next to them over Lebron. and when Lebron will finish his career he will be judged against other greats, not before. I do believe he will get that 3rd championship next year, but it will be the only one as a prime player. and with a career like that theres no way he can be compared to Kobe and obviuosly not to Jordan.

I hope someone writes that story. Ray Allen, Chris Bosh, and now Matthew Dirtyvedova have all saved LeBron's playoffs. He CHOKED. He blew a layup that would have probably won the game. Almost dribbled the ball out of bounds trying to handle like Kobe and Jordan. He threw up bricks almost the entire night but nobody is going to say s*** about that...

The NBA wanted more games and the Warriors were happy to give it to them.

As good as he played, there's this too. Don't forget the stuff by Draymond on that layup attempt. His supporting cast on paper isn't good but they better get some credit because they showed up last night.

Of course they won't though. Saw this morning on the talk show "Fox and Friends" as they were showing highlights of the game going into commercial break, LeBron showed everyone "why he just might be the greatest ever". And he only won a game in the Finals!

No way the media gives those guys credit. If I was on his team, I'd be pissed. If I were Dirtyvedova I'd be really pissed off that the media called us scrubs even if we are just to build up LeBron.

I'd tell LeBron he better go in front of the podium and give us some damn credit. Also the refs. Give them a ton of credit too.

A foul on a rebound? Really? Just because he's 3 feet tall and jumping through big guys for a rebound you give him a foul? Weak *** **** NBA.

Everyone sports news outlet is praising him for his two back to back triple doubles, but no one mentions his terrible shooting percentage and how he choked in both games down the stretch. It's disgusting. I don't think I've ever hated a player as much as Lebaby and most of that hate comes from how the media fluffs him up.
