eh, if things keep going south there, they may look to dump him. and we'd be high on the list of possible destinations, i'd think. anyway, hearing that schroder will start makes me wonder what the plan is for trez. surely gasol isn't planning on coming off the bench, right? you generally don't do that with older guys (joints/warm up, etc.). maybe we'll sub marc and lebron out early in the first and let AD/trez/schroder/kcp/matthews run some or something?
I'm very curious as to how Vogel is going to distribute the minutes around (not a bad problem to have) . I think we'll run several different combinations and it'll evolve as he gets to know the team during the season. But he has 3 weeks to find one to start the year with. I'm pretty sure we'll start Marc, AD, Bron, KCP ($), and Schroder (told us he's starting). And I imagine we'll try to limit Bron as much as possible early on, so that'll definitely factor in.
Much better initial impression (between this and his zoom conference call) with his approach to joining us than Schroder's "I expect to start. "
OKC treats their players very well so I'm guessing they gave Schroder a choice and Schroder said he would accept a trade if he was able to start. I don't blame Schroder. He's trying to get paid. Montrezl is a beast but he didn't do himself any favors playing the way he did in the playoffs + he's got some holes in his game that needs to be fixed.
haha I was about to say I remember seeing that clip last year... if nothing else though at least we know trezz is familiar playing with some of our guys
Why was Montrezl allowed in the Lakers gym while playing for the Clippers.... Someone should be fired!
Whether he comes off the bench or starts I hope he eats up about 30 minutes+ at C. He's our AD insurance
With LeBron, AD, and Schroder getting most of the defense's attention I expect Trez to have about 1 million dunks this season.
