Wasn't it Harrell who called out the Clippers chemistry/work ethic/kawhi treatment etc?

I think he's comparable to Morris defensively except a little more active imo

I love it. Lakers are keeping a tight house now, got rid of all the rats. And now we move in silent like the best FO in the league, the way it always was.

In the past few years I felt as if the Lakers front office or Jeanie almost had an open dialogue with fans on social media. All our moves were telegraphed from a mile away. When people trashed Rob/Kurt/Jeanie for taking Vogel over Lue last season, I always knew that was BS. It was a turning point of sorts. I don't want ESPN to talk about our plans for months on end. I want Shams or Woj to drop some news out of nowhere, then the talkers talk. That's the sign of a functioning GM & front office.

sorry I'm not as optimistic as everyone else. I think Harrel is a very good player and for that money it was an excellent pickup, but the fact that he doesn't shoot 3s and can't defend tall bigs makes me worry about the fit.

still think it was a mistake not getting Howard for vet min, even with Harrell. Would be worth it to throw at Jokic in the playoffs if needed, or any other dominant big.

Huge signing. Losing some defense obviously but hes a very good player. I never liked him but clearly he didn't like the clipper culture
and wanted to be a Laker so he gets my respect. Do the lakers have enough money to bring AB and KCP back now?

yeah, i'm not sure harrell is an upgrade from howard for what we need, particularly at quadruple the cost. i'll be happy to be wrong, though.

    Bit of a wired signing.

He'll be great with Schroeder but can you really play him in the finishing 5 man with AD at the 5. His lack of shooting at the 4 and his mediocre defense may make you want to go with Morris (if re-signed) or Kuzma instead of him.

Also now with Dwight gone you don't have a guy to put on Jokic.

Schroeder and Matthews were great signings as they filled needs and fit into the Lakers approach from last year. This should work but I hope this doesn't cost us getting or keeping guys like Ibaka and KCP who fit better into what the Lakers were doing.

We had a problem, which was the lack of scoring & playmaking outside of Bron. That problem was addressed here. We’re not going to need too many bigs who were simply unplayable at some point.

Great for the regular season , bad for the playoffs .

Full MLE for a guy who is going to play 10 minutes a game in the playoffs makes little sense .

The emphasis is really on resting Lebron as much as possible in the regular season

With the insane money signings we're seeing today (Gallo for 61.5 million, Clarkson for 52 million) this is an absolute steal. For the bargain that it is and the energy, scoring and hustle we're going to see from Harrell this is just a fantastic move that no one saw coming. Added bonus it screws the Clips, LOL! Harrell is going to put a hurt on them every time we play them.

Are you kidding me, Rob? You are killing it. Replaced Green with Schroder, got a nice bargain wing 3 and D in Wes Matthews Jr, and then stole the sixth man of the year away from the cross town idiots for the MLE! I love it.
