Maybe it was something on the Lakers' side in terms of wanting a different FA center. Looks like we are linked to Marc Gasol, and there's also TT and Ibaka.
He was an absurd value at that price. Makes no sense to give him up. ***Edit*** playing time makes sense
Stupid move for Dwight: this was the perfect situation was for him. This hurt the Lakers as well: he was so useful against a bunch of matchups and sucked up minutes at C to keep AD healthy
Howard might get that with Embiid almost guaranteed to get injured and miss a slew of games. Rivers to do load management too? Hard to fathom that Gasol is now a target all of a sudden after all this. It has to be more than that. "Experts" not knowing what is really going on and talking out of their behinds? Expecting a barrage of more criticism from O'Neal about this. It is what it is. Thanks for the help with 17 Dwight Howard. Wish you stayed... Good luck just not against us.
All i can think of in terms of minutes is that he knows Joel will miss games with injuries and load management and that gives him some starts. That's all I can come up with.
Ok, I take back what I said about him being a clown then, that honestly sounds like it was on us. Still, maybe he could have been a little more patient, if reports are true supposedly Rob was calling him all the time saying we wanted him back.
I hate to lose Dwight, but the man will always live in Laker history, and in the exact opposite way of how he did before. A Laker through and through and a champion whose redemption story will be told for ages. Love ya, big fella! Thanks for everything.
Lakers knew Dwight was about to go back to his old habits after the " I don't want to play for free" comment .
Looks like we pulled out of the deal because of Harrell. I’ll miss you Dwight. Thanks for number 17. Good luck.
Quite possible. And I can't imagine him being good inside his head losing minutes to Harrell while seeing him paid 3 times more and why they couldn't give him a bigger raise. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/dwight...ge-announcing-return-to-lakers-011324700.html
we dropped the ball on this one. could have had both, and i'm still pretty lukewarm on harrell. think his impact looks bigger than it is.
