the fact that he's so butthurt over Twitter to the point he shut the account down may be a reflection on his maturity level

But also, Twitter and any social media can be very negative. Nobody needs that much negativity in their lives. He lives in his own world or bubble where he thinks he's a star. The Lakers are lucky to have him, and will surprise him any day with wheelbarrows of cash with the longest contract possible. Not everyone is built for LA, but he is!

This can go a number of ways, but by going silent, he can't be mistaken for being an idiot. So overall this is a plus.

I disagree. Twitter is a toxic addiction. The fact that he was able to recognize the toxicity and give it up shows a great deal of maturity.

The Woj Bomb that had AD coming to the Lakers. That's pretty much all.

As with any social media, if you read the comments or engage with randoms, you will be exposed to pure stupidity/toxicity.

But yeah, if you don’t do that, then Twitter is an excellent source of sports news. You don’t even have to actively use it. Make an account, follow Woj and Shams and set up Twitter notifications for their posts. Boom, you hear any major basketball news the second it happens.

I think I saw a list of the top 10 athletes on Twitter in terms of engagement, and surprisingly Kuzma and Quinn Cook were on there. It’s got to be even more of a cesspool if you’re not even a star but having top 10 levels of user engagement on Twitter. I’m sure anything he posts gets flooded with hate or trade comments.

It totally makes sense why he would deactivate his Twitter and I applaud him for it if it was a decision based on his mental health

... but with that said, I feel like Kuzma has shown some thick skin on social media and been through a lot. So it’s odd that now is suddenly when he deactivates his account as NBA free agency/trade season ramps up. I would not be surprised if the Lakers have signaled to him that he will be traded in the next few days.

Kuz is very close to what he will be at this point ... a below average player to stay nice ...

Sure, but PJ Tucker is 35 years old and been complaining about not getting a large extension. If Houston is blowing things up, we shouldn’t have to trade Kuzma to get Tucker.

We are developing Caruso , let's try with THT ... Giving Kuz a significant contract after a potential good contract year would be a terrible idea
I'll take PJ Tucker just for this upcoming season , nobody is giving him a large extension , well maybe the Knicks .

Let's get better as a team , we have few options salary cap wise to achieve it , it might be one possibility .

Couldn't stand Kuz mediocre play one more season on a championship team .

He had many chances in several roles , he failed ...

We could actually use his services as a stretch 4 on our Squad. Hes stuck with us and we are stuck with him. Might as well go all in. Kuz's time to step up and showcase why he deserves a big contract. Stepping away from Twitter for the time being may work out alright for him.

Don’t forget about THT. But yes I generally agree, I wouldn’t trade Kuz for Tucker, Kuz can be just as good or better, and Tucker is 35 already. I’ve always been fine with keeping Kuz, I just thought he was our only trade asset to get better, never thought we could get a player like Schroeder for only Green and a pick. If we don’t have to give him up to improve we shouldn’t, he remains a versatile scorer and defender on a relatively cheap deal.

I’m fine either way. If we trade Kuz for someone better that’s great. If no good trade is available I’m fine with us hanging on to him for now until one does or he plays so well that we decide to keep him.

The good part is we’ve seen some improvement in his D which can actually be good at times and used to be horrible always. He’s also improved as a passer and playmaker for others. He’s now ok at it and he used to be awful. So that’s some development. He’s continued to be very good with off ball cuts. That’s probably his best and most consistent move. He also continues to be a versatile scorer in other areas. But he desperately needs to improve his three ball. Seems like he hit a peak with it his rookie year and it’s been downhill ever since. If he wants to stick around in this league it needs to be better. He should do what Ariza did that one summer and practice tons of threes.

yeah, i immediately remembered THT when i posted, but the general point stands. we don't have a lot of this and won't get many opportunities in the near future. need to play this right. trading him for a guy on a one-year deal who has no room for growth is probably not the way i go.

they can have two 2nds for pj. i mean, they took a late first and a second for covington....
