Hell yeah. Hope it happens. If these were/are the "kids" we ultimately settled on to keep at this point and If they actually all delivered ..... we've done pretty DAMN good considering the other Kids got us Anthony Davis and a ring. Kuz, AC and THT.

Kuz is like a cockroach. Dude keeps surviving when it looks like he's gone. Can't see us trading him now that we have no contracts to package with him.

well, I hope his new shoe designs with PUMA, his political leanings, and his fashion line don't distract him too much from getting the most out of his talent.

but in reality we just added a scorer from the bench that averaged nearly 19 a game last year. Combine that with AD and Lebron, and the shots available for Kuz just went down further. If we keep him, he will struggle in his role here unless he improves and makes it impossible for us to use him.

It's always ultimately up to the player. Caruso made it impossible NOT to play him. Kuzma needs to do the same thing if he wants that "substantial" extension from the Lakers.

Stop talking the talk and walk the walk. Guy loves himself and overrates himself to the max. How about shooting more then 31% from 3? Come on Kuz.

Trade him. Hasn't learned, grown, matured. Stop talking about it and be about it. Really worried about non bubble, unfocused Kuz.

Keep him. I like the improvement year over year. Foot injury slowed him and hurt his confidence attacking/driving.

Defense is improving. Not afraid. Buzzer beater and defensive improvements earned him another year, in my book. Practicing with dogs like Mathews and Dennis will help. THT pushing for time will help. I still think he is the better piece for this team than anything we could afford (assuming we keep KCP). Bron and AD will keep teaching him. Vogel can still get a lot more from him. Unless we get Grant. Keep Kuz.

Keep him, match as restricted FA next year, flip for future assets.

Man, if he was half as good as he thought he was....

Somehow I still believe he can be good for us. His D is improved, he just needs to become more focused on offense. I gave up on his playmaking long time ago - it's just not his game, but that's alright. If he could just do less social media, that would be even better. I don't think trading him is worth it at this point. Get in the gym and shoot some threes man. :)

The only reason trading him won’t get you a lot is because he’s not worth a lot. He’s 25 years old, how much more....he'll be better next year, years is he going to get? We’ve been saying that since his rookie year. No we can’t replace what he gives us for his salary but no way do I want to be the team that pays him more because he’s not worth more.

This is what gets me so upset when people defend Kuz. There's only so many 'he's still developing' we can say before it's up to Kuz to show us. He's been on this team for three seasons. His first season made him the steal of the draft but his next two, he hasn't been a consistent player. Granted, playing next to Bron is a huge change but he's getting wide open shots and bricking them. All this cheering for Kuz but really, THT is the one we should be rooting for.

He’s improving. New coaches and AD and injury adjustments - some inconsistent rotations. Had moments. Buzzer beater. I say keep. All entitled to our opinions. Hence “forum.”

Hope we add Mathews and Ibaka. Keep KCP and Dwight.

THT should get significant run this year - if he was trusted for minutes in the playoffs against Russ, Harden, and Murray - he is ready for regular season run, esp while Bron load manages early in the season.

Just curious what kind of salary do people think Kuz is worth for his next contract? If he balls out this year are you willing to up that salary based on 1 year worth of stats?

Here, the absolute max I'd give him is the Mid Level of $9.5m. That's all he's worth here. To other teams, he might net between $15m- double our offer. But he hasn't shown that and unless he does otherwise every single regular season and post season game next year, it won't be enough to combat what he hasn't done here.
