Great basketball body for a guard. Strong, fairly buff but lean - not heavy. "Beach body" if you will. He will always be able to play good D because of his strength and good IQ and court awareness.
I take pride in the fact that I was on the Caruso Hype Train since 2018 legitimately believing he was perfectly capable of being a MAJOR contributor on a championship team. Me and Weezy are the Engineers on the train. Granted, I also wanted Rondo to be cut and never allowed on the court. So I'm 50/50 on guard assessments. So it's still to be determined if I possess luck or skill in this regard.
I also wanted KCP’s contract to be voided in the first 8 games of this season, so I’m 33%... I guess that’s why fans don’t run the team. Some here legitimately thought we gave up too much for AD in the moment, and said he was overrated because he hadn’t lead his crap teams to a title yet.
I think AC is an $8 million dollar player in the league, easily. Look at what Matthew Delly made after he won the title with Cleveland in 2016... a four year $40 million deal. Caruso is a smarter and better player than Delly. Man, LeBron got these bums paid... Mosgov got a 4 year, $64 million contract. Delly gets a 4 year, $40 million contract. These bums averaged like 6 points playing 10-15 minutes.... The only reason they got paid was because of LeBron.
Caruso could realistically start next season as our PG and if he gets a consistent 3-point shot? Oh man... Who would have thought that Caruso would end up being BETTER than Lonzo?
He's better fit. That's for sure, and he doesn't get hurt. Better overall? That's a tough argument to make. Lonzo's floor vision is elite. Caruso is better off the ball.
I think some guys will never be durable enough to be a starter. I think Caruso is best used for <25 min a game to get the best out of him. dude is white, I mean, c'mon. :Carusohearthands:
