There wasn't anyone within 5 feet of him. He could've even taken a dribble to get his balance back on that one

Green gets the ball with the game on the line. Takes the shot from the top of the key. Visions of Horry dancing in my head. Then reality crashes down on me. LOL!

This was a great game by LBJ. Hate to say it but we wasted it, or LBJ wasted it however you want to look at it. The fortunate thing is, after watching him all these years, I think he can get to this level again in then next game. He's one of the most physically prepared athletes ever, he's worked all year to have this on/off switch at the end. I think he's gonna have a monster game, again.

Ughh was hoping for highlighter yellow.

Wouldn't mind just winning in Mamba jerseys in game 7.

I hope he's pissed off and goes 2009 or 2018 Cavs on the Heat in game 6.

    Has to shoot 25-30 times

If he has anything left in the tank, he will.
Super saiyan mode (not that he sucks, he's having an incredible series so far).

He's 15 for 21 from the field. 6 for 9 from 3. Great game and credit to him.

But hes the best player he needs to take that last shot. Why pass it to a guy with the talent level of Smush, if you are the best player and you have it going all game?!?!?

I can live with knowing our best player who gives us the best chance to win, shot the ball and we lost.

Theres no reason for a screen. Theres no reason to drive into the paint with multiple defenders waiting. Spo and the Heat know the book on Lebron and they were going to let anyone but him take that last shot if he drove near the basket.

Lebrons lack of post game, footwork and unreliable jumper hurt him in that one possession. He's shaky from mid range and long distance in moments where we need our best players to rise up and take critical shots.

The scheme is to clog the paint and Bron drove right into it and passed it to a guy who has been cold all these playoffs.

And to make it worse you see the Heats best player in Jimmy Butler having an amazing game and taking their last shots in the closing minutes (even though Duncan Robinson is red hot)....and Lebron is not guarding their best player either in the last few possessions (except that last one)

The stats wont show it of course. Bleh

EDIT: All kinds of room for Lebron to go one on one and he should've waved off the screen

Most NBA stars on Twitter said they'd take the basket, but that Lebron did the right play.

I suppose as a fan, eff the right play in that moment. Go get us the win!

But prepare to be blown up for that very logical opinion of yours. Fans don't seem to like having their main star questioned.

I seem to recall Kobe on more than one occasion when the "dagger" shots didn't drop get reamed for playing Kobe ball or Hero ball while double or triple teamed. Fans are completely what have you done for me lately. James had a magnificent finals game and so did Butler. If anything the goat last night needs to be Vogel. My son and I were watching and he said Green looked nervous when he broke the huddle, as though that was the play Vogel called. For James to try to get in close for the shot or a foul or kick back to Green.

Yeah, was LeBron perfect last night? No, he coasted on D quite a bit, and did not take that last shot. Other than that, the man was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G for a Finals closeout game. He carried us the whole game when everyone not named AD or KCP didn't even show up. He's the last thing I'm complaining about with that game.

I don’t feel too strongly one way or the other on if it was the right play or not, but yeah you’re pointing out what a lot of people aren’t understanding.

Seeing so many people on Twitter “Lebron has 4 defenders collapsing on him and Green ended up with an open shot, of course it was the right play”.

But the point is, Lebron didn’t have to be in the paint with the entire Miami defense collapsing around him to the point where of course the logical progression of the play is going to be a kick out to the shooter.

We were coming out of a timeout and had plenty of time. Lebron could have ran a different action. He didn’t have to drive that early. Hold the ball at the top, wave off the screener to get some iso, and set up the court so that he could play one-on-one and position himself for a midrange attempt.

It’s not even just a matter of hindsight. In that type of moment in a one point game, I think anyone would put more value behind a contested midrange jumper from Lebron than an open three from a struggling Danny Green.

LeBron just can't win no matter what he does tbh. Fans have long memories, and so do opposing fans of all the teams he's whooped up on for years.

Lots of people just can't wait to see him fail and to pile on. You see it with all of the great ones. It's a sign of respect, but it's also the price for being a bit brash in your younger years. Nobody stays on top forever, and they can't wait to knock you off your high horse eventually.

We are going to get to see this up close in his final few years, as I'm pretty sure this is his last stop.

Many people who saw Jordan play decided that he was the greatest ever, and closed the book forever. They took a long time, if ever, to come around when it came to Kobe. The same thing happened to LeBron, but not just from Jordan fans, but also many Kobe fans.

Ask many people who saw Wilt in his prime, and they don't think Jordan is the greatest either. Ask many Lakers who idiolised Shaq, and they were once upon a time really angry Kobe ran him out of town.

I think we all just have a prime in our lives physically and mentally (maybe our 20s or 30s?), and whatever we think and feel is great then (especially if they play for our team), we will never entertain somebody else could ever be better or even in the conversation.
