Not his best coached game but then again, none of this would have mattered if Danny Green+KCP shot the ball well in the perimeter. If they had shot even below average from three, we win the game by 25.
I respectfully disagree. Play kcp or ac more. Play kuz at 3 or even 2. Also... AD with 3 fouls. Then 4. Why no Dwight i. the second half?
Heat played zone hardcore in the 2nd half and Vogel trusted the shooters. They just didn't knock them down. Heat kept getting to the paint and Lakers fouled nonstop. We gave up rim protection to get better floor spacing. I don't think it was a bad idea but again, when our shooters are missing wide open shots, no one to blame but the shooter.
Adjustments will come. Not concerned. We'll remedy the zone. Vogel does have trust in Green which makes us all uncomfortable.
Vogel’s trust in Rondo regular season made a lot of us uncomfortable, and then the playoffs came and we all got it. But with DG, we’re down to possibly two more games. When the hell does Frank expect playoff DG (preferably the better playoff DG) is gonna emerge?
Reading the last couple pages you would think we’re down 0-2 and Vogel playing Green is costing us games. Relax people. I don’t like Green either, but why mess with the chemistry now when we’re 2 wins away from the title?
^ That's probably what Vogel is thinking right now. No reason to suddenly bench and offend Green at this point. Wrap it up, see if someone wants that nice expiring. Simple as that.
Got outcoached today. Not the only reason we lost, but still... he won't make adjustments in the finals.
Better see some adjustments next game Vogel. Can't start the game so lackluster and can't turn this into a shoot out. We need to attack the paint and throw doubles at Butler.
I think Vogel will make adjustments and he might start either Rondo or Caruso next game...or maybe even someone like JR Smith instead of Danny Green. He's just not making the defense pay - too many wide open 3's clanking. Time for something new. Let's see how Green would do with the 2nd unit instead.
Dwight fumbles the ball too much. With the way the Heat were deflecting every pass it seemed, it would have only made it worse. Plus, the lanes were already too clogged even without him, Markieff was hitting shots that the Lakers really needed. Miami is similar to the Crockets in respect to how they set up their players and the way they shoot the lights out.
