i'm guessing no on the former and yes on the latter. question is where will millsap ring-chase? he's made a ton of money, and he's no longer a featured player. but as a backup pf/c somewhere for 20mpg, i could see it. could see the clips totally doing this. grant improved a lot over the past couple years. i expect him to sign a deal starting near twice what he's making now. they can probably afford that, and he's likely to be their starting pf going forward. murray/harris/mpj/grant/jokic seems like their squad. good on them for reaching on mpj: i'll admit i thought his injuries were doom.
Is it just me or is this headline a major redflag? Reads like Irving is saying I will pick and chose when I listen to you like he is the co-head coach. Not worried for cash first ask questions later Steve Ca$h. His career from the Lakers onwards proved he was all about the cash. Good to see an element of instability working into a potential rival team though. Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant say Brooklyn Nets' coaching will be 'collaborative effort' 9:37 AM NZDT Royce YoungESPN Staff Writer Facebook Twitter Facebook Messenger Pinterest Email print The Brooklyn Nets named Steve Nash their head coach in early September, but stars Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant see Nash in more of a collaborative role and not as the head of top-down leadership. "I don't really see us having a head coach," Irving said on Durant's new podcast, "The Etcs." "KD could be a head coach, I could be a head coach [some days]." Durant followed up by agreeing with Irving, calling it a "collaborative effort" and naming assistant and former interim head coach Jacque Vaughn as someone who could fill the role any given day. No Kyrie Non-Magic Irving you are not the coach and if you ruled the world it still would not be flat unlike your head.
No definitely not just you. I read that 2nd paragraph over in LD, did a double take and immediately called it another beaut of a declaration from Kyrie, with his history of them, and went hunting for what could go wrong gifs. Found a painful looking one .... WTF was that guy doing on top of that lightweight bookshelf??
I always wanted to like Durant and Kyrie and Kawhi. These guys are all clowns. Kyrie is ignorant and frankly, stupid. Durant is a total malcontent. He does not have a pleasing or even understandable personality. Has a chip on his shoulder. I actually like a lot of players who are on other teams. I like Jokic, I like Lilliard, I like Thompson, I even appreciate Steph. Most of all I like to beat them, but I can understand those guys. Durant has had a lot of off putting reactions to other players that have been over the top. Calling out Lebron for being a s*** show, getting into it with Green and saying nobody on the Warriors had his back and that he had no friends on the team. What an A-hole, I actually would think very hard about letting that guy onto our team now, even if he wanted here. I feel similarly about Kawhi, he is a very manipulative guy who has screwed under a lot of people in this league. San Antonio, Toronto and the Lakers are all teams he has not treated with respect. I will say one thing to Durant, who owns the s*** show now A-hole? You!!
Apparently OKC aggressively protected Durant and Westbrook from the media for years, but even then, they both developed a deep distrust and even distain for the media, and any accountability from them. I think Durant can be summed up as a guy who wants to be different, but wants to still be liked.
And yet he throws shade on people, players and media all the F'ing time!!! Come on Durant, if he wants people to like him, he has to actually be likeable.
Normally I just enjoy talking about the lakers, but one thing has been bugging me for a while now. I think Zion Williamson is a tremendous talent, no doubt. So he had many months to rehab before the virus struck. The Pels were exceedingly cautious with his return before virus. He had many months like everyone else to be ready for the bubble.. Sure he took some time off but like a week not too much before bubble play started. Not did they only play him 15 minutes a game but they actually had him sit out one of the last games when they had a chance to Maybe make the playoffs to rest him. REST HIM..REST HIM??? They guy is like 19 years old and has hardly played any hoops this year. Why does he need rest. Is he that outta shape entering the bubble? And if he really was that out of shape that is a bad sign a bad BAD sign. I'm not a pelicans fan and don't think they're gonna go far to even make the playoffs next year. I didn't really hear anyone talking about it of course we are in LA getting ready for a championship, so who really cares about the Pels. I just don't want to see such a talent go to waste.
i'm very concerned about how zion's body will hold up with his style of play. when he's right, he's a real game-changer, but i just don't see him being able to sustain it over full seasons or multiple years.
I generally don't care about players on other teams I don't think Zion is on pace for a long career though. May be super impactful while he's healthy, but he has to show he can stay on the floor.
Two good moves by that organization. Feel bad for whatever coach and GM they get, they have their hands full just getting that back to a regular, functioning roster. This should help the NBA's relationship with China. They should have fired him then, he hasn't done anything for the team.
Lakers should bring him in to help Rob out until he gets more "seasoning". Oooops ..... that was sooo this time last year.
