For what it's worth, Green has been playing against some of the most skilled guards in the NBA. Miami has Jimmy Butler but butler isn't as elastic and shoots lights out from deep. Do not be surprised if Green comes up big in the Finals, should it be Lakers vs. Heat.
I was expecting him to come up BIG, where he goes for like 6 of 8 from 3, in 2-3 games during our playoff run. Now all I dare to hope for is maybe one such game. If he has one on saturday and helps us advance, I'll forgive him the overall bad play throughour the playoffs. A pity there's like a 0,1% chance that happens.
Guy is garbage and a waste of a chair on the sidelines. Scrubs making millions makes me wanna slap someone.
Danny Green has played some decent defense on both Murray and Green but Murray has jsut hit some tough shots and Danny hasn't gotten it going from 3 yet. I think he breaks out next game..and if not next game...he has one big game cooming in the finals and if not? He's a tradeable asset next year on a big expiring deal next year.
I'm not sure about this: can Green stay in front of Dragic and Herro? Two more guys who have shake and bake in their game and can shoot? I haven't seen any evidence of that this playoffs
we may find out, but i think yes. neither of those guys is exceptionally quick. they're clever. and green's a vet. he can work with that. in theory. then again, he can also shoot in theory.
Blah blah blah... Green's a vet, Green is a champion, etc., He's on the court to defend and make threes. He's barely scraping by defensively and offensively, let's just say we would not have signed him for $15 million if we knew this was the player we were getting. I wish we had signed Seth Curry instead. I was pushing for that if we couldn't get Kawhi but unfortunately, Kawhi took forever and we missed out on key players. Which brings me to another point... Rob Pelinka is a genius for picking up players who were scrap pieces late into free agency and created a championship team. Imagine if we knew from the beginning that Kawhi wasn't signing...
I think if we knew what we know now, Rob would have went after Jimmy Butler. Lakers would have won 60 games with a shorten season and would be 12-0 in the playoffs, haha.
Those 2 3s and 2 blocks in the second half don't makeup for one of the worst conference finals first quarters in NBA history (probably).
We are such a good franchise/team/coached squad that the fumes of Danny Green's basketball corpse contributed a couple of nice blocks and a momentum maintaining three. Damn it Danny Green we just need four more okish games from you and we can send you to another franchise for Dinwiddie or someone like that.
I mean he was awful, he was just so bad, the defense was hurting my eyes to watch. But then he goes and makes the big shots and that block. No, it doesn’t justify playing him as much as he gets played, but it does help explain why he’s on the floor to close a game, because he has been here before and he’s supposed to be reliable and tested in those moments. So props to him for that, now please do it some more.
Danny just needs to find his spot. Once that happens, he will knock down 5 threes. You heard it here first lol
You know what? He kinda redeemed himself a bit in my book tonight. Nice job in helping finish these guys off. Some great defense and a few very clutch shots there. That's what we've been missing most of the year. Good to see him finally do well.
