doesn't need to be like that, mcgee on a 2yr deal n Howard should just accept another vet min deal or a lil raise like 1yr 5-6m deal, nobody is offering him much more next season

Total slip move. But I'll just try to ignore that for now. Can't stomach picturing him in a slips uniform right now. Just can't

Can def see Clips going after him and dangling starting role for him but I feel like Dwight gonna be loyal and stay with us no matter what. Too good of a situation for him and hes' happy. He's made his money already...

The Lakers took a big chance on a completely undeserving Dwight, when they had no idea it would work out as well as it has (I'm as surprised and delighted as everyone). It would be quite the betrayal if he rewarded us by jumping ship to the Clippers. And after everything the two teams have been through this season, it would be pretty shocking if he did that. Then again, he's still Dwight. So who knows...

We still got Boogie coming back too. Hopefully. Though no way he can run the floor like Howard or McGee or defend well on the perimeter.

Marc said he wouldn’t want to play for the Lakers after the way we treated his brother. Never say never but I’d be surprised if he wanted to play for us.

Pau needs to sit down and talk to Marc about how the Lakers sealed his legacy and his jersey will be retired in LA. For all the "dirty" done to him we did a lot more good and we mutually gained a lot from the relationship. A lot of management has passed under the bridge since then. I would hope he could see things clearer and not hold a grudge and do us a solid especially since Pau himself talked about playing in LA to finish things off. Marc would be nice for the MLE. Time to practice you Lavar Ballesque management Pau and speak things into existence!

Dwight contributes to a ring and his ticket to the Hall is stamped.

Or do you feel he's already a sure thing?

    If he wins a ring?

    It's a sure thing.

8 time NBA All-Star, 5 time All-NBA First Team, 3 time NBA Defensive Player of the Year, 4 time NBA All-Defensive First Team, a 5 time NBA rebounding leader, and a 2X NBA blocks leader. He also consistently lead his team to the playoffs. He even beat LeBron on his way to NBA finals.

Realistically, he's a HoF-type player anyway, but winning a ring automatically places him in the Hall of Fame.

Dwight was an animal in game 1... he catalyzed the night for us, and they had no answer for him... that being said, i agree with @Kenzo in that the refs will call things fairly tightly with Dwight tonight (possibly our entire team), and the Nuggets will certainly make adjustments... so i too foresee some early fouls sending him to the bench... refs are basically going to take him out of the game since he embarrassed the Nuggets so bad in game 1.

I think he is going to start today. Let's see if his experience will let him bother Jokic again without being in foul trouble from the start. He has to know the refs are going to look at his physical way of playing basketball more closely. 10 years ago no one would even blink at that stuff - but these days they tend to use their whistle way too often. He needs to be intense, but at the same time careful, and that is not easy.

Wouldn't start him. Expect 3 quick foul calls if he does.

He came out in game one with Rodman-lite intensity. Great showing from him. Stay out of foul trouble and keep after them. They're not built to withstand that physicality.

Hats off to how both he and McGee are conducting themselves, being drama free, and the biggest supporters on the bench. No matter if they play, don't play, start, get pulled. Their cheerleading efforts in the bubble are almost as huge as their on the court production against Denver.

When you think about it, though, everyone in the NBA knows the chasm that divides us from the JV team in terms of clubhouse climate.

Why leave a model family culture for a toxic, dysfunctional one? Slips are gonna have problems attracting people who have options

@Kenzo Saw he had 5 fouls today, so the refs did go ticky-tack on him? Expected this treatment too, actually.
