    Here's why I'll always hate the Clippers.. They are actually the Boston C Bags Franchise.
    Not many people realize this. In 1978, the C Bags Owner wanted to move the Franchise to the West Coast, but NBA Officials would not allow their Marquee Franchise to just up & move.
    So what happened is the C Bags & The Buffalo Braves literally swapped Ownership & 7 Players.
    That Buffalo Braves Franchise (basically the entire C Bags Organization now) moved to San Diego & became the Clippers.. Eventually, they moved to LA & that's how those little green bastards snuck into our building & covered up our banners..

    True Story. Look it up.

    morris, harrell, and jackson are unrestricted FAs. each will get MLE offers or bigger. i believe harrell is the only one to whom they have any useful rights, and he's the one who's pissed (and who may command over MLE).

    things *could* go south there.

    that said, FA this year will be weird because i think the most interesting players are aging guys who will probably sign cheaper and/or ring chase. which is good for top teams like us and the clips.

    bad news is there's not a lot of guard help out there.

    but anyway, it will be hard for the clips to field a better team next year, unless say, marc gasol signs on for a last hurrah there or derozan gives them a weird discount or something.

    I remember reading about this a few years ago. Flop City is evil empire west. On top of that, the evil empire traded their shiny headed coach to Flop City in exchange for a pick a few years ago.

    Seriously though, after watching and reading about the dissension and lack of team chemistry caused by "load managing" their 2 stars this year ..... and THEN those 2 stars' performance in the playoffs ..... what self respecting FA with real game left now wants to come to the Clippers?

    This thread has given me life for the last couple days. As we get ready to get back to rooting for our biz I want to explain why I F'n love what happened to the Clips. Not be contrary to those who have said because of Kobe they aren't hating on the clips I, on the other hand, am hating them more because of Kobe. LA is Lakers town. Staples is the house that Shaq and Kobe built. The LA Kings and Sparks all brought Championships to the Staples. The statues outside are of GREATS across many sports. And with all that the King of LA has been Kobe, period.

    Back track to free agency when Leanord strung us along waiting to the last minutes he could to go to the Clippers who were, at the time, rumored to be out of it. Him and the Clips waited to see other free agents go so the Lakers couldn't get them. They deliberately sabotaged our off season which is odd considering we got Anthony Fkn Davis. Then out of nowhere Paul Goerge is a Clipper with zero "basketball reasoning" put into play. Thankfully Jeannie and Co had a plan and filled our roster. Anyway, all of a sudden the Clippers are the "BEST OF LA" and they got commercials dissing the Lakers (Seriously?). Their players running around the town of Champions like they won something. Their role players talked more sh** than a port-a-john at a weekend long concert and people bought it. The pundits bought it. The fans bought it. Them punka**** really believed they ran Staples and LA. Seriously? As Kobe would say about Raja Bell, "I got bigger fish to fry." He would never be in line with unproven dudes acting like they should be sitting at the Champions table.

    So yea.. Fk them. They bragged and clowned their way to blowing a 3-1 lead. They are now and forever will be the JV squad of LA and really just needs to relocate to Turkmenistan or something to Patrick Beverly can get lost and never be found again. So yes I am going to LOVE every damn minute of this blasting they are getting cause they jumped up and, like Babe Ruth (who did this), called their shot. Unlike Ruth they went more like Willie Mays-Hays and came up "juuuuust a bit short."

    In short.... FK Them!

    Rant over.

    I am so happy to see Beverley humbled like this. Disrespecting the Lakers as if they won the chip alright. Disrespecting the Blazers as if Dame Lillard is some kind of choker (how ironic). Disrespecting Luka Doncic and Nikola Jokic for allegedly flailing. I have news for you Patrick Beverley: The Lakers have 16 world championships, and you have 0. Hell even Portland and the Mavericks have world championships, and your Flippers haven't even been out of the 2nd round. Dame Lillard, Nikola Jokic and Luka Doncic have recently played like top 10 players in the league.... you have no offensive game, and are an overrated defender. It would be generous if I considered you a top 50-10 player in the league.

    I wish I had more than one like to give this. Yes, all of this, from the second Kawhi got there the Clippers and the media have been insufferable. People haven’t been calling Kawhi a snake for no reason, he deliberately strung us along in free agency to try to weaken our roster, yet here we remain in the WCF while they’re at home now.
