Caruso just doesn't have the rep yet but he's All NBA defense caliber player with a decent offensive game. He's in that in between stage between really good roleplayer to core member
he's an excellent defender. his lack of lateral quickness probably keeps him from jumping off the page to people, but he has great body positioning that helps make up for it, plus, he's pretty big/strong for a pg. great instincts on both ends. what a great find as a UDFA. even if he's best-suited to a 20-25mpg role as a backup/spot starter, that's found money. this is assuming he doesn't improve, which he still can--stand still shooting is one of the easier things to improve, relatively speaking.
Great effort. Tired Bron for 2nd leading scorer with 16. Flying around on D. Bald Eagle came to play.
Impressive game today. I love that clutch steal - he poked the ball then just walked away like a boss.
Same f***s who run LG are the types who run the state of California, LA and SF. Snowflake pieces of s***.
A lot of us are asking why he's out there with Rondo for extended periods of time, myself included. But the more they play together, it seems to me LBJ and Rondo's intensity is rubbing off on Caruso. Those lineups are getting good bc they're playing fast and they can get dialed in. Caruso has always had a knack for making a good play, but he's probing on defense on a level that's much higher to me. He should be out there with them.
The cuts from Caruso and Kuz are essential to this team. They’re keeping Houston honest on defense and drawing defenders. It’s a beautiful thing to watch.
That was a super clean defensive play by Caruso, and yet I still expected the refs to give Harden the call. I was shocked when they swallowed the whistle.
hoop iq kills dantoni teams. take care of the ball, make the defense move and think. consider their offensive philosophy of just standing around and watching the stars work until they are forced to kick--they have trouble imagining someone might move toward the basket from somewhere off the ball! how will lebron know where to find him???!!! sad but true commentary. lot of these clips they're keeping hands up which is great. refs will still give harden (and only harden) calls there, but it starts to look bad.
Wait did The Bald Eagle nickname originate on LB? Because I just saw Jay Williams call Caruso that on First Take. Do they call Caruso that on other forums?
