I think Rondo deserves more respect... LeBron+AD wanted him for a reason... In the playoffs, he has more experience out there other than LeBron. Plays like where Caruso panicked and shot a three after he got the possession back was a mistake caused by inexperience. It was his first game back in seven months. I feel a lot more comfortable with Rondo having the ball than any of our guards right now. Sorry, it's just the way it is. The Lakers will need to fix that in the offseason and find another player who can create for others when LeBron is resting. Superb game by Rondo tonight. FIVE steals and a +28 on the court.

The Lakers changed their entire offense to accommodate Rondo and he wasn't half bad but I don't this is maximizing their personnel

They basically used him as the screener and when he had the ball allowed him to dribble into mid range.

Don't know as without the spacing of say Kuzma in there instead of him you just can't just spam LeBron PnR to finish the game and make no mistake LeBron won this game in the beginning of the 4th

He showed he wanted to win and contribute second game back. No excuses offered and gave as much as could be expected from him. The legend of playoff Rondo continues. Rondo is more sinned against than sinning. Plus 28 with ten points, nine assists and five steals. I think we are being too hard on him. I am much harder on Danny Green so maybe he will be my opportunity to eat crow later on (hopefully it will come).

Wow, what a game today. Took care of the ball. Only 1 TO, but 9 assists and 5 (!) steals. Took ballsy shots in the 4th and hit them. Played good D. Sucked for 3, but hey... +28 for us. One of the reasons we did not quit in the 4th and won it by 10.

I agree. He receives too much hate. Rondo is getting paid dirt cheap and for the experience he provides, I'll gladly take him as a backup PG. At the end of the day, we shouldn't expect Rondo to be the Boston C Bags Rondo. He isn't getting paid the big bucks... Guys like KCP (who has been way worse than Rondo has been) and Danny Green ($15 million dollar man) have to do more. DG was pretty good tonight but again, he's getting paid $15 million.. He's got to be able to do more than that whether it's defending or knocking down threes consistently. At the end of the day, we have a lot of vet minimum or minimum salary players on this roster. It will be ultimately up to AD and LeBron to dominate and we need 3-4 guys to show up and give us a good performance.

I now trust him more to show up in big games. He has heart and that has to count for something. If he could just shoot... I don't know... 36-7% for 3 consistently... but he can't.

Picking up Haren full court was a good idea . Haren was exhausted in the 4th .

So that's playoff 'Do? I like.

6 assists and 3 steals in his first 6 minutes of action. Spoon fed Morris for his incredible start. Played the passing lanes like a pro bowl CB. Got Westbrook his 5th foul. Picked up Harden full court and tweaked the Beard's knee. I'll live with the missed 3s, if he can do all that. Plus as soon as he stepped in a bit, those mid range Js looked smooth.

I spent a lot of time praying for Playoff Rondo, I'm just glad there is a sign that he exists. I have no clue how to gauge his ceiling in these playoffs, I'm prepared to see another bad game by him. But like @BangBoomPow said, I trust him handling the ball more than the other guards. We did not anticipate losing Bradley, and Rondo going to a higher level as we rely on him (in desperation) is huge for our fortunes.

    Playoff Rondo in full swing.

Story of the first half was all Bron, but 'Do came to life in that 2nd. 12 in the 4th.

    Dear Rajon,

I always believed in you. Others doubted you, but not me. I always believed...

    “Trailblazers. Rockets. Clippers.
Long ago, the four teams lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the coronavirus attacked.

Only Rajon Rondo, master of all four elements , could stop them. But when the NBA needed him most, he vanished.

A hundred years passed and my brother and I discovered the new GOAT, a legend named Rondo, and although his basketball skills are great, he still has a lot to learn before he's ready to save anyone.

But I believe Rajon Rondo can save the world.”

I'm a Rondo hater and I'll take my beating Rajon lol.

If you can hit 3's with no one in the same zip code as you that will be a game changer for the team :Rondonod:
