His best asset defensively this series will be swiping at Dame's hand. Fouls or not, that's going to make him change his play with that finger and get in his psyche.

 

IF green n smith are getting PT whats wrong with Rondo? those 2 arent exactly all nba defenders, neither is kcp and while Caruso tries hard he gets lite up too

 

“Caruso tries hard” is really short changing the level of one on one he is playing. The best defenders get lit up by all NBA guards at times. He has stayed in front of Lillard admirably well.

 

dame would be running circles around him if it werent the traps and double team

 

Could say somewhat similar about AC would be doing even better if not having to fight through or switch off Dame as he utilizes all the picks set for him. Don’t understand you seeming now to downplay just how well AC is doing on defense. Elite has been rolling off many tongues of late. Elite offense will always break loose at times.

 

im not down playing ac contributions all i said was if smith/green are playing n D is still solid why the concern with Rondo? we have no play making at the guard spot

 

I'm just sensitive about the Eagle and read you saying, "he tries hard 'but' "

 

Rondo was awful and he can't shoot: definitely the answer will be for him to take away minutes from Dion and Caruso
